I would like to thank the author for this very well researched and necessary piece.

It appears that the US government, (and possibly other governments shortly), is endeavouring to win the “hearts and minds” of the public, by keeping database information on them, and it reminds me of a certain person in charge of the FBI for many years, who regularly carried out purges of the FBI, to eliminate those he thought had “pointy heads” or looked like “truck drivers”.

Apparently he kept his own information system on other people, which had categories such as “Do Not File”, ”Official and Confidential”, “ Personal and Confidential”, and “Obscene”. Difficult for anyone to avoid falling into one of those categories, as each category is quite subjective.

It also becomes rather confusing regards who makes a good citizen, and who is a dissident, and I haven’t been able to fully understand the necessity for the US government to be keeping information on what books a member of the public gets out of their local library, as most libraries are funded by the government, and the books in the libraries are originally purchased by the government or by local councils etc. It appears that the government is playing some type of game:- we buy the books, then we keep information on who reads them.

It seems that so many central intelligence organisations eventually produce a state of general paranoia and fear, and so many have to be eventually dismantled, such as the KGB, which had to be dismantled by Gorbachev, after members of the KGB tried to assassinate him, because they though he wasn’t Russian enough.

Eventually the general paranoia not only extends down through the pyramid to the general public, but fills all levels of the pyramid also.

If the authourities cared to investigate the inside trades,conflict of interests,nepotism, cronyism,lies,treason etc. of one G.W. Bush he would be the first customer in the big house.
Bush senior once made a comment along these lines:If the American people really knew what we are up to they would string us up.
