Is all this because Carr gave Rupert Murdoch the old showground for a peppercorn lease, and the only lower house member who dared to oppose him was the Member for Bligh and now Sydney Mayor, Clover Moore? Is this a case of sour grapes by a Premier who's now simply a shadow of the "opposition", now opposition's an oxymoron as well too. The P Plate stunt of unnecessary extra regulation was simply an excellent diversion from the heat Carr's getting on health and trains.

The Australian Labor Party, whether state or federal, has always been poll driven and opportunistic. The last visionary they had was old Gough, and his vision did most of us no favours.

This comment is spot on! It is a disgrace that sensational, and often poorly informed tabloid media representing little more than narrow sectional interests, gets to have this level of influence whilst major issues are overlooked and hard but right decisions are never confronted!
