The spirit of Cain : Comments
By Jafar Jalili, published 18/8/2026The left built its entire moral authority on grievance. It taught a generation that resentment is a credential, that envy is conscience, that hatred is permitted so long as the target is sufficiently fortunate.

Everything that needs saying about the ABC has been said, over, and over, and over …..
Nothing has happened, and nothing will. But, the instigator of the disgusting attack on Gina Rinehart is a raving lunatic who could be easily dealt with under hate speech laws. Like all Leftists, she thinks violence is the way to deal with people they don't like. The recognition of leftist violence is only just beginning. Posted by ttbn, Tuesday, 18 August 2026 11:50:14 AM

thankyou Jafar. You have summed it up well. The irony is that that some liberal leftist feminist being paid massively is likely to be preaching/indoctrinating kids about 'stolen' land. It is sickening when you see Pakistani women who have fled the slavery of Islam, enjoying the nation European Immigrants built and now spewing hatred towards those who gave them their entitlement.
Armchair seems stuck in his dogma ' At the far ends the left are no more nutty than the right, who pledge their loyalty to Israeli baby killers,' Go to any of our hospitals and you will witness babies being murdered up to birth daily. These killers are no better than Isarael or Arab baby killers. Now in the US if you are prescribed many of the psy drugs you can claim insanity in killing your children. At least you have some sort of moral base to call killing babies wrong. I wonder where that came from? Posted by runner, Tuesday, 18 August 2026 11:50:23 AM

Thank you so much for this clear article and straightforward approach to a catastrophic problem in our wider community.

Hi runner,
"preaching/indoctrinating kids about 'stolen' land." - I've got about 1% indigenous in me, are you purebred or a bitsa? That 1% however is quite aware of my indigenous ancestors history. "During the Appin Massacre on April 17, 1816, British soldiers ambushed an Indigenous camp along the Cataract River gorge (near Appin, south of Sydney). Troops shot at least 14 to 16 Gundungurra and Dharawal people, and forced many others, including women and children, over the rocky cliffs of the gorge to their deaths." "Go to any of our hospitals and you will witness babies being murdered up to birth daily. These killers are no better than Israel or Arab baby killers." So now the problem's Aussie women? People terminating their own unborn children before birth isn't the same as killing other peoples kids once they've EXITED the womb. This is the narrow-minded garbage the right promote, then wonder why no-one takes them seriously anymore. They'll say 'you must never kill the unborn' - Like somehow they want us to believe 'all life is sacred' and they're morally superior. Then 1 minute later on the topic of Muslims, Palestinians or indigenous, will quietly say: - "Israel should just kill the bastards already!", or "Those lives aren't important!" "At least you have some sort of moral base to call killing babies wrong. I wonder where that came from?" I do, 'ethics and principles', you seem unfamiliar? Certainly didn't get it from the church I was forced into, where people blabbered incoherent shite like they were on cocaine and magic mushrooms, or the bible which turned their minds into scrambled eggs and mash potato. What religion are you, bubble and squeak? Where'd you get your morals, King Herod, I mean Netanyahu? The world might've been a better place if he was terminated before birth, what do you think about that? Like humans aren't born with consciences or the ability to reflect on past events as individuals? 'No we're all just mindless animals before the bible was written AC' - If you actually believe that runner maybe your logic is the problem. Powerful writing.
I’m not sure there is a moral equivalence or continuum between Kate McGuinness’s diatribe against Gina Rinehart - disgusting though it was - and the murders of Charlie Kirk and Brian Thompson. And the left isn’t alone in its use of political violence. There is a depressingly long list of US politicians and their families who have been murdered or the targets of violence, and the victims are roughly evenly drawn from the political left and the political right. http://www.britannica.com/topic/Political-Violence-in-the-US-in-the-21st-Century Here in Australia, almost 10% of people support political violence in some circumstances, with a further 10% indicating they “neither agree not disagree” with political violence. Young people are significantly more likely to support political violence than older ones. http://apo.org.au/sites/default/files/resource-files/2025-11/apo-nid332763_0.pdf In its annual threat assessment, ASIO says that in recent years “we have dealt with extremists across the ideological spectrum. Including one who allegedly combined ideological and extreme Christian beliefs, and an individual allegedly inspired by an extreme left-wing ideology.” http://www.asio.gov.au/resources/speeches-and-statements/director-generals-annual-threat-assessment-2026 So yes, we have a serious problem with loss of commitment to democratic processes, grievance politics and an increasing justification of, and normalisation of, political violence. But it is not only a problem of the left. The far right and religious extremists are also a threat. Posted by Rhian, Tuesday, 18 August 2026 2:29:57 PM

Go a little far in one direction and you become a danger to everyone else.
At the far ends the left are no more nutty than the right, who pledge their loyalty to Israeli baby killers, and then try to convince others of their Christian moral authority that is actually non-existent.
And that said those out on the fringes have opportunities to speak truths the major parties can never voice.
