The ABC of misinformation coming to a library near you : Comments

By John Mikkelsen, published 21/7/2026

A government-funded exercise in 'Do as I say, not what I do', coming to a library near you.

Libraries used to be places where you borrowed books, took them home, and buried your head in them to escape, and minded your own business. Now they are just brain washing departments, and places to subject toddlers to drag shows.

I gave them away decades ago, preferring ebooks that I can read which are banned by librarians; the latest banned book being ‘Mindless’ by Bella d’Abrera, which contains plenty of information about ‘misinformation’ and brain washing.

State libraries using the State ABC to talk about misinformation? Gawd help us!

“The ABC should be smaller and more narrowly focused—concentrating on emergency broadcasting, regional services, and educational content—while leaving most news and current affairs to a competitive private media market”… is a growing refrain for good reason!

Let me ask you something John?

Did you watch the ABC program 'Matter of Facts'?
If not why don't you just shut the hell up.

You want to know what I'm feeling here?

The same 'Let's attack Grace Tame' kind of bs of a month or so back because she dared to say 'Globalise the Intifada' in defense of slaughtered innocent Palestinians only now you're attacking the entire ABC.

People attacked her program 'Autistic AF with Grace Tame' but none of you were ever going to watch it, probably just like you in this case.

Reading the rest of your articles shows your real grievance.

Retraction of Gaza starvation statistics
(Whinging on behalf of Zionists)

Fueling hostility against Australian Jews
(Whinging on behalf of Jews)

Disproportionate coverage of Gaza
(Whinging on behalf of Zionists)

The student general meeting (SGM)
(Whinging on behalf of Zionists)

whinge, whinge, freaking whinge.

Basically your whole whinge against the ABC seems to be 'Pro-Zionist discontent'.

I call it 'Israels war on everything'.
They want to turn the whole world into an endless battle just as it is for them in their own heads, because their identity is connected to Mount Zion and I don't care about any of it.

It translates to 'Endless Wars in the M/E that produce Muslim immigrants, and global terrorism resulting from military occupations'

I don't give a rats arse about your support for Israels genocide or the Greater Israel project, just to be clear.

What you want is for the ABC to be more like the SKY NEWS and embrace the endless Zionist war on everything.

You whinge about ABC misinformation, but what you really want is more Zionist lies, propaganda and narrative.

I don't hear you complaining about the lies Israel told about Oct 7 or Antoinette Lattouf who was unfairly dismissed from the ABC due to pressure from the Zionist lobby.

Go climb into a Zionists anus like a good little tapeworm and make a home for yourself, you foreign flag waving traitor.

Seriously mate

'Israels war on everything' translates to 'destroy everything that does not serve our interests'.

What happened to Syria and the writers festivals

Open your effing eyes you blind fool and write something actually worth reading.
Or alternatively, take your stupid bs war on everything elsewhere.

Stupid muppet / useful idiot.

Well I sure do have a talent for exposing raving ratbags/ antisemites, but one thing's for sure - the ABC should be very well qualified to lecture on misinformation - they practice it every day. If they were confined to funding for regional radio and a subscription service which those who don't like accurate unbiased reporting can support, Australia would be a better place and more funds could be spent where they might do some good (not that Albosleazy or Grim Jim would be capable of that).

When public institutions like the ABC lecture on misinformation, it highlights how critical objective data and independent verification are across all aspects of life. In education—just as in media—transparency and accurate tracking are essential to avoid bias and maintain trust. Whether analyzing media claims or simply monitoring academic performance metrics, reliable data keeps everyone accountable. For students looking for objective tools to manage their academic requirements without the spin, checking https://attendcalc.com/vit-attendance-calculator/ can help calculate attendance rules accurately. Ultimately, sticking to verifiable numbers is the best remedy against institutional bias and misinformation anywhere.
