I agree, you are absolutely correct. In my view "imperialism" brings on "terrorism", terrorism is seen by the militarily and economically oppressed side, which is always the group that have been colonised, physically and/or economically, as their only means, legitimately, to fight the new controlling power, and have any possibility of winning. The Vietnam War is a great case study in how imperialism brings on war. Firstly the colonising power France had to be overcome by the militarily weaker Vietnamese nationalists. Then an even strong military power America, which didn't directly colonise, but took economic and political control of south Vietnam, had to be militarily defeated and driven out, which it was. Who of our vintage can forget the images of the Americans running away from Vietnam like a mangy dog with its tail between its legs. There have been losers of course, two examples, Native Americans and Indigenous Australians, they lost the imperialist colonial wars, they tried to fight back, but the colonial power was too strong.
