For the Albanese government, and the Coalition, the regions are just open spaces to fill up with wind turbines and solar panels. They are just starting with data centres, which will suck up the electricity generated by the monstrosities, and suck up the water from the few reservoirs we have. And, still they bring in hordes of immigrants.

There should be no private ownership of big fella country; any of it, inclusive of settlement or city.
The “whole” of big fella country should extend from shore to shore.

Currently the country is under siege from a divisive “custodial” template.

A equitable alternative should replace it, “Georgism” which is where private use of land is permitted, but the economic value of land (its “rent”) belongs to the community through a land value tax. Buildings and improvements remain privately owned. This was the proposal of the 19th-century economist Henry George.

Shame it failed to materialise, and now, the current inequitable and divisive alternative creeps across the land, consuming and impoverishing all in front of it.
