I occasionally wonder if Bettina is really a super-intelligent radical feminist who writes clever parodies of the manosphere’s nastier arguments in a way that fools its dumber denizens into thinking she’s really on their side. It is perhaps the most charitable interpretation of her repeated and unwavering defences of rapists, child molesters, wife killers and sexual predators. But then her 47-year-old video reminds us of her earlier career as a sex therapist. She has been exploiting male insecurities in one way or another for an awfully long time.

Men who commit rape are not the victims in that crime – whether they be migrants or native born, Muslim or Methodist, and whether their victims wear burkas or “skimpy gym wear”.

If we are seeing a clash between “two utterly incompatible systems of rules about men, women, power, and desire” then I pray it is our system that wins. Gender equality and the right of women – even “indulged Western women” - to wear what they like without being sexually assaulted are important values. Any overseas student finding themselves offended by “female flesh on a scale his culture considers obscene” should return home, even if he is “gentle” and “disoriented”.

Arndt’s statement that “none of this is to minimise what some of these men have done” is particularly disingenuous. Pretty much all of the article is designed to do exactly that, and even the qualifying “some” implies that many, perhaps most, haven’t done much wrong at all

I know quite a few male teenagers through my kids and they all think Tate and imitations of him in the 'manosphere' are idiots.

I really think this so called "manosphere" is a storm in a tea cup. Teens are brought up with all sorts of rubbish online for sure, but they know it's all BS.

Even the term manosphere seems just like the 'toxic masculinity' feminist propaganda trotted out constantly and is arguably part of the so called problem. Alienating young boys is counter productive and just creates new customers for them.

Teens aren't as stupid as people think, but if you're told you're toxic just for being male, you're more likely to be interested in what the likes of these so called manosphere people have to say.
