Right at the opening sentence, the arguments collapse at the word vigilance.
The essay is a political critique; political and vigilance conjoined, is vigilance as suppression.
(Albanese vs., Pauline Hanson vigilance). There is nothing ontological with politics, metaphysics is disconnected. Any vigilance in a political sense is a nasty political survival strategy: All the waffling on is pointless, dog eat dog!
