Mr. Trump: Greenland is not for sale : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 20/1/2026

Trump threatens to seize Greenland from a NATO ally, shattering trust, exposing naked resource hunger, and risking the alliance that underpins Western security.

Poor old Alon: Another naive sprouting from his wretched garden of anti Trump cacti. ( Thank our “Christian” God it’s down to one page today).

You would think enough problems are brewing in his own back yard of NY, with the election of the Muslim vandal Mamdani, but apparently not; he’s not up to the horrors of that reality yet.

Trump is on the ball opposing the Leftist Nords sitting strategically on the Russian border. Trusting them with security would be like setting up Albanese in Finland to guard against the Russians.

Go Uncle Donald!

Thanks diver dan. Yes it's interesting that the Woke Marxist's attack the man rather than his arguments. Paul Graham talks about this as being one of the lowest forms of argument in his "Hierarchy of disagreement"- idiots.

http://sproutsschools.com/grahams-hierarchy-of-disagreement/

I haven't seen President Trump say anything about attacking Denmark, but he is saying that the Danes can't defend it, and it will be much harder to take it back from China when it occupies Greenland and threatens Europe from a much more dangerous position. But I suppose there are a lot of traitors in the west and Europe that aren't arguing in good faith, we need to remove these traitors from positions of authority, and lock them up, and probably execute them for treason as a message to others that might act in a similar way

Canum Malem,

Invoking Paul Graham while doing the very thing he warns against is a strange choice.

Ben-Meir critiques Trump's actions and stated positions on Greenland: coercion of a NATO ally, refusal to rule out force, and treating sovereign territory as an asset to be taken if negotiations fail. That is argument-level criticism, not an attack on Trump's character.

By contrast, your comment:

- labels critics "Woke Marxists",
- alleges unnamed "traitors",
- and ends by advocating imprisonment and execution for dissent.

That isn't just low on Graham's hierarchy. It abandons argument altogether.

As for the actual substance of your comment, no one is claiming China currently occupies Greenland. The point is that NATO already provides a legal, cooperative framework for Arctic security, one Denmark actively supports, including expanded US basing. Annexation is not a security necessity, it's a rupture of alliance norms.

Threatening allies does not strengthen NATO. It undermines it.

If you want to defend Trump's Greenland position, do so by engaging with the legal, strategic, and alliance arguments actually being made. Calling critics traitors and fantasising about executions is not "arguing in good faith". It's conceding the argument by replacing it with intimidation.

President Trump seems to be saying that it is very hard to defend a place on military alone, there is also the economic battle. In recent history Europe appears have been willing to have the US shoulder the burden of the defense of Europe. NATO has been funded mainly through the US. And then there are the ones that try to undermine stability by incessant legalism such as the Philistines. Lawyers seemingly forget that in many contexts the system much be geared so that action is favoured over inaction. Sometimes I like to go back to Aristotle's comment on government by written law and the context under which this is superior, rather than blindly accepting this principle, possibly under the principle of self preservation.

President Trump is subtly implying perhaps, that the US's support of Europe, when they should be supporting themselves, is hurting the most vulnerable in the US. When Europe cries poor in the corridors of power, real people in the US cry in silence.

There are groups in the US such as Woke Marxist's that perhaps want to make the US ineffective and the US poor to hate it. As they say Marxist's don't love the poor they hate the rich

How is it even possible to “ keep the bastards honest”,

Trump cuts the rug of Rules Based Order out from under the over comfortable allies; they are not coping with him.

Trumps rules are economic in priority. His rush to embrace the wealthy Arabs in the ME, defy political logic. Israel is in serious trouble because of it, but must now pretend happiness.
Not good!

Answer-
Thanks for your question Diver Dan.

Yes, a lot of this seems paradoxical. The first question in a crisis is, "who do you trust?". (I trust Trump.) Then how do we turn this temporary trust into something somewhat permanent, through selective empowerment, borders, structure, education, institutions, law, etc? What happens when the people driving the system that you trust are gone?

When things seem paradoxical, you have to review your underlying assumptions, to find the source of your misunderstanding. There are some paradoxes that you won't be able to resolve, because they are founded in the nature of reality, but the process will give you a higher perspective, and usually you can make an 'appropriate' compromise. Perhaps this is the difference between realism and idealism, that is not to say that ideals/ principles are negotiable, but they occupy a space with hidden principles.

Essentially, how do we change this world system into the next, while staying connected with the continuity of the past.

The law isn't always the answer. (I suspect that it's rarely the answer.)

I hope I've provided something useful here in answer to your question Diver Dan.

One of the main things is to "use the doers" such as Trump while we can. Protect him from being distracted, feed him things he can act on.

It will be much harder to get things done when Trump is gone. Hopefully he will still be able to support as a cheerleader after the presidency.

Anything we can do to sweep the idiots out of the way is worth it. We are going to get a lot of faeces on our feet.

I often smile to myself when I think of how long it took to close the Mexican border. It shows that President Trump can be extremely effective. We need to create more opportunity for Trump effectiveness. We only have two more years, it will pass very quickly....

There are a couple of proven opportunities for Trump to still matter after his term expires in a couple of years, which have a precedence for hope.

The most important of which is the example of Obama. When crooked Joe was wobbling through his presidency, and falling down gangways at various airports, falling asleep during his public speeches and all that, Obama was the President in fact, from his garage in Washington: It would be beyond a shadow of doubt, Trump will install a puppet President, it makes every logical sense, worry not!

Secondly, and equally as important is Trumps ability to bribe his way to success.
This is a family trait which was perfected by his Granddaddy ( name escapes me).
But Granddaddy Trump made his fortune in the gold rush on the Klondike around 1896.
He achieved his fortune investing in hotels, real estate, but most importantly, prostitution rackets. When the water began to boil around him, he did a runner to NY and continued the action.

The last bit of that story is important, since it has stamped the Trump dynasty with its particular mix of morals, and so consequently, the Don is a clone of Granddaddy, demonstrated by his close association with Epstein, the Epstein files and a smorgasbord of other evidence, except nobody will last long as a witness, so it simply must “go without saying”: Anyway, who cares if the King is a pedo; it’s his right and privilege under the rules of elitism. It’s why the Epsteins of this world flourish.

Trumps personality flaws are as interesting, but much more dangerous.
His judgements on global politics concerning peace and stability, especially among Arabs, is his Achilles heel. The litmus test of his ability to bully the weak guy, is stark compared to the subtlety of Israel in dealing with him from a realistic perspective based on survival.
Trump is as safe as Fort Knox.

In growing up surrounded by bathtubs of money and family influence to ensure success, there is much Trump only pretends to know. The big one is dealing with underhanded contempt, and in dealing with the contemptuous, how to actually identify friend from foe.

There you are CM, a profile of DT.

The world is saved, thanks to Nuremberg Dan and the Kudos Kid who between the pair of them. "One of the main things is to "use the doers" such as Trump while WE can." WE, who are the WE? Maybe its this pair of yokels on a little old forum such as OLO. Me thinks the Kudos Kid has just promoted himself to the exalted position of Reich Marshal. Talk about being delusional.

Comment 1. Secondly, and equally as important is Trumps ability to bribe his way to success ...
Ans- I suspect most people will bribe to get things done if they can, probably through a lawyer.

C2. Granddaddy Trump made his fortune in the gold rush on the Klondike around 1896 ... achieved his fortune investing in hotels, real estate, ... prostitution rackets...
Ans- I understand that the Wild West was pretty wild. Sadly not many Christian's survived there at that time.

C3. Anyway, who cares if the King is a pedo; it’s his right and privilege under the rules of elitism. It’s why the Epsteins of this world flourish.
Ans- I don't think Trump is a pedo, but perhaps a womaniser. Epstein may have been a Mossad spy engaged in mass honeypotting of influential people. It discredits Israel pthat they would perhaps sponsor this activity. The book 'Think and Grow Rich' Napoleon Hill talked about sex as a motivating force (so did Herbert Marcuse- but with a darker viewpoint).

C4. Trumps personality flaws are as interesting, but much more dangerous.
Ans- I think Trump is loyal to the American concept. I'm sure Trump is dangerous in certain conditions. I think many Woke Marxist's are trying to create the impression that Trump is dangerous to America. I think that the church is important for Western/ European civilization but some of it's principles seem problematic. I think that Trump is trying to help the church survive in the modern era- certainly more than the Woke Marxist's

Ans- I think that Trump has probably been playboying around the world since his youth. I don't think he could have survived in NYC one of the fiercest trading environments in the world, without knowing a significant amount about how to identify friend and foe. But there's always a trick you haven't seen before. I suspect that Trump may have talked with the Bush's who do have a significant understanding of the Middle East. Trump has apparently spent time in Russian business deals.

Your post above raises some questions:

Our world Governments are human-governed institution characterised by human flaws, they are certainly not governed by divine, or even benevolent, angelic forces. You appear to connect the “Church”, as you call it, to some aspect of Trump. You need to unravel that for me.

The Church you refer to is confusing; do you refer to the collection of devotees congregating together in divine worship of a chosen God, or a church in the sense of the closed society of the elites, (members of).

Trumps character flaws are directly attributable to moral corruption ( my view). My example was to point out the making of the family fortune involving prostitution for example.
Extrapolating that out to his undoubted engagement with Epstein is a simple enough extension, in view of mounting evidence, but he is certainly not alone.
The Epstein saga is more defining of the elite and the light that shines on moral depravity of them; but I hasten to say, evidence against individuals is a necessary justice before condemnation, but unfortunately for us, those cards are held very tightly against their chest, so we may speculate and prejudge to our hearts content with justified high mindedness if we will: Alls fair.

Diver Dan- The reason I mentioned the church was because I thought you were a Christian, based on my memory of previous comments, in which case I was surprised that you wouldn't support Trump more, given his defense of the church in the US. Referring to moral decline could be a Christian issue, but sometimes not.

Regarding Epstein-

Usually we should say this is a matter for the courts- but in this environment of politicized courts I'm not sure that we can trust the courts either, but I'd trust Judges appointed by Pres Trump more than those appointed by the Democrats.

After asking a few questions of AI- "The parallels drawn between environments like Hollywood and Epstein's island highlight the need for ongoing dialogue and reform to protect vulnerable individuals and foster accountability in elite circles." and "The ties between Epstein's activities and potential intelligence operations lend a chilling context to discussions about abuse, power, and accountability in environments like Hollywood, raising ethical questions about personal integrity and the protection of vulnerable individuals."

I'm not sure if it's possible to create accountability in elite circles, that is the allure, and society needs elites in a sense. Parents need to have the power to manage their children, so they can manage the risks. You can't remove a risk entirely.

Should the US be managing foreign sex tourism of US citizens? Maybe. Should that be left to the laws of the nation. It was legal to marry 14 year olds in Texas until 1997 with the parents permission from memory, however sex tourism isn't marriage.

If Israel's Mossad is engaging in mass honeypotting operations, is this an act of war?

There are too many unknowns here for me to make a judgement

Trump can't be defending the pedos in the christian churches, he's to busy defending the Epstein pedos. Looks like Trump got rolled on Greenland, although he's putting his usual BS spin on it.

DD a christian, what next Attila The Hun was a civil libertarian. KK you come out with the dardests things. You're too much into that Arsethrolle bloke you're always quoting.

The people of Greenland should be given the right to SELF DETERMINATION. Greenlanders who are 90% indigenous Inuit (Kalaallit) people, were like so many others, murdered, raped and abused by white colonial settlers. Now another white coloniser in Trumps wants to take over, and no doubt do the same thing. Read the history of the Danes in Greenland, their treatment of the indigenous there has like in so many other places such as Australia where white colonials ruled, been nothing but appalling. Anyway, all the honkies out there will get to wave their cheap Chinese made flags tomorrow in celebration of INVASION DAY!
