"The Trump peace deal is a looming disaster for Israel."

Only because what you want is for Israel to murder every last man woman and child in Gaza and the West Bank and steal all the land for Eretz Israel.

"That madness alongside an official backing of the terrorist sponsoring State of Qatar, with a US Security Guarantee against foreign incursion..."

"The primary US military presence in Qatar is at Al Udeid Air Base, which is the largest US base in the Middle East and hosts the forward headquarters for US Central Command (CENTCOM). The base primarily supports Air Force units with logistical, intelligence, and combat aircraft assets.

The U.S fifth fleet is based in Bahrain.
They can always pack up their military bases and go home if they want.

"They can always pack up their military bases and go home if they want."

With the M-E largely pacified thanks to the Trump-Netanyahu alliance ( Hezbullah on the run, the Houthis too, Hamas a spent force, Assad in Moscow and Iran still trying to work out how it all fell apart so quickly and easily) there is every chance that Trump and the US will begin a drawdown from the M-E next year.

Remember 'America First'. US policy should be first and foremost what's in US interests. Well, now that Israel is , to say the least, secure the US has no more vital interests in the region.

Yes I know that those who still live in the 20th century think they need M-E oil. But Trump's USA is a net exporter of oil and has no need for M-E fossil fuels.

Of course, people like the Saudis and Qataris have a great need for the US to hang around in case Iran decides to have another crack at regional hegemony. But they can now look to Israel as their military guarantee and probably will.

The pivot to China has begun in earnest.

If anything we are doomed BECAUSE OF THEM
Armchair Critic,
You didn't try very hard to sound more ignorant on this one. Westerners are looking doom right in the eye because of their utterly idiotic mentality on the Woke Left in particular. Yes there are such idiots on the Woke Right as well however, not quite as large a percentage.
As soon as the present federal Govt administration can be halted the more of a chance we have to recover.
The world's problem stem from the Left who blame the conservative Right for literally everything the Left is causing.

"Hezbullah on the run, the Houthis too, Hamas a spent force, Assad in Moscow and Iran still trying to work out how it all fell apart so quickly and easily"
- That seems a little naive
Hezbollah aren't entirely out of the game, Houthi's fought the Saudi's for 8 years they have hypersonic missiles, the West doesn't, They shot down at least 16 Reaper drones destroyed Israels southern port and transit through the Red Sea. Iran and Iraq fought for 8 years as well, the Iranian people are more galvanised behind the 'regime' now and it has gained a lot more military help from Russia and China now. Netanyahu recently phoned Putin begging him not to send Iran weapons and threatening to support Ukraine., Israel's 'iron dome' has been exposed as being incapable of defending against attacks, Israel has shown it can't fight a war of attrition, the Gulf States are wondering about their relationship with the U.S. when they allowed Qatar to be attacked,

"Remember 'America First'. US policy should be first and foremost what's in US interests. Well, now that Israel is , to say the least, secure the US has no more vital interests in the region."
- Israel has lost support in the U.S.
More Americans now support the Palestinians than they do Israel.

"Yes I know that those who still live in the 20th century think they need M-E oil. But Trump's USA is a net exporter of oil and has no need for M-E fossil fuels."
- I don't care about U.S. needs, and I'm happy to take Russia, Iranian or Venezuelan oil, it makes no difference to me other than the cost at the pump.
"But they can now look to Israel as their military guarantee and probably will."
The Saudis signed a mutual defense agreement with Pakistan a few weeks back.

"The pivot to China has begun in earnest."
- Yes hows that going?
Didn't America spent 20 years fighting the Taliban?

that's pretty funny AC.

Your main argument seems to be that Iran/Hezbullah/Houthis/Hamas weren't completely wiped of the face of the earth therefore they won.

The won in the same way as the black knight won.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmInkxbvlCs

You do tell yourself fables don't you?

I grew up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and went to a High School where the percentage of Jewish students was between 10% and 15%.
While not Jewish I have a strong feeling for Israel: invaded on the day it proclaimed its existence and surrounded by hostile states who frequently tried to destroy the Jewish state.
Israel has a right to exist living in peace inside its own borders.
I feel the current Jewish government is not one I would welcome in a state which is at peace with all its neighbours I can understand their attitude to their own existence.
I long for a peaceful attitude in Israel's neighbours.
