Queensland can take a big slice now of a shrinking pie, or a smaller slice of a growing one that feeds the state for generations.

In trading coal to China, perhaps Crisafulli hasn't completely lost his mind like Albanese Labor, for whom Xi is the world benefactor. This CCP party-line from pro-Labor "economist" Ross Gittins has already been widely circulated and applauded on the left:

"China’s biggest annual emissions are explained by its population, 1.4 billion people, plus its success in raising their material standard of living. Its emissions per person are still only about half ours. No one in the rich world is entitled to criticise the Chinese for their huge emissions. We should be impressed and grateful for their great success in moving to renewables."

Is this a paid opinion piece? Totally biased in favour of Big Coal. Why?

A Liberal-aligned thinktank the Australian Institute for Progress received more than $600,000 from the coal industry during last year’s Queensland election. Emails to supporters from the AIP executive director, former Queensland Liberal vice-president Graham Young, seeking donations to push advertisements show the campaign was specifically aimed at helping defeat anti coal candidates.

"a big slice now of a disappearing pie" Yep, if Big Coal can afford to pay cash for comment, then the pie will certainly disappear!
