"People who think having radically different cultures in a Christian, Anglo Saxon country is a good idea are raving lunatics."
- Well there's your problem, we're not a Christian Anglo Saxon country. Didn't you get the memo? We're a secular multicultural country. And with this change, Australian culture now means we pride ourselves in giving immigrants a 'fair go' ...apparently. You're just a minority now, so just shaddup and like it! - Welcome to country ttbn Posted by Armchair Critic, Monday, 29 September 2025 2:45:19 PM

And yes. Australia is still a Christian Anglo Saxon country. The Christian basis of the country is still there. Christianity is still the country's biggest religion. Even with less than 50% saying they are Christians in a census, our laws, Parliament, courts are still based on Christian principles.
43.9% of Australians identified as Christians in the last census. 3.2% Muslim. 2.7% Hindu. 2.4% Buddhist. That says Australia is still a predominantly Christian country. It still operates as a Christian country. The ones who claim no religion don't count. But I suggest that many of those think that they are not Christian because they don't go to church. Well, I don't go to church either. I don't ‘turn the other cheek’, as some fool mentioned. But, I am Christian. My beliefs are between me and Jesus Christ. Not some bishop or minister - many of whom are the reason that Christians avoid the ‘churchy’ bureaucracy that is more into left wing politics than Christianity. I agree with ttbn on his last post, his view of the culture/religion
of the country is correct. However it is under threat, not as big a threat as Britain, France etc etc. A worrying trend that I have just read about is the need for public speakers to wear bullet proof vests. It appears to have been kept quiet but probably some pollies are already wearing them. This did not start with the Charley Kirk killing but has been in place for a while. With accurate weapons vests would be redundant. It raises a question about the security of our email addresses on this site. We do not seem to have attracted the attention of the ratbags yet. They do not issue cease demands yet, but perhaps they never will ! In any case I think it would be prudent for some security tightening might be useful. Thanks for the article Stephen Saunders. I don't think that being kicked out of the Liberal Party will harm Jacinta Price. If anything it will improve her credibility from the sound of it. Every so often a political party needs to reinvent itself as Menzies did. There is a period of instability. At some point there will be a threshold of disillusioned Liberal's that will coalesce into a new structure.
The Labor and the Liberal Parties seem to be competing with the same spirit. This isn't working. But the Liberal Party can't move forward. The electorate have tried to be patient for a long time, years, but they have lost patience due to a vacillation that is more consistent with the Labor Liberalist Movement. I think the Libertarian Movement need to re-evaluate their philosophy and remember where they have come from. Also they need to remember that politics is downstream of culture and philosophy. Hi ttbn,
"And yes. Australia is still a Christian Anglo Saxon country." - I'd almost offer you $100 if you can find me ANY politician willing to publicly state that. Your statistics don't mean much with politicians frightened scared to say it. Hi Bezza, "However it is under threat, not as big a threat as Britain, France etc etc." Those countries are stuffed because of Islamic immigration. You might as well call the whole country a no-go zone for westerners. http://youtu.be/fxqN-oLh0p8 http://youtu.be/rp-RuNcGZHw Just because I support the Palestinian cause doesn't mean I support Islamic immigration. It's Israels wars that caused the immigration. Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 2 October 2025 5:27:55 AM

The LNP also is also making a fool of itself and Australia, mimicking Labor. They are now using the same phrases: Ley's “modern Australia”, and Tony Burke using the same words as he smuggled in more Gazan “refugees” last Friday night.
Their slurs against decent Australians as they fill up the place with inappropriate immigrants is a disgrace.
Anyone called a ‘racist’ by these galahs should feel proud that they are not part of the political trash who use abuse instead of reason - because, of course, their ‘reason’ for what they do is evil, and will be the death of Australian culture.
People who think having radically different cultures in a Christian, Anglo Saxon country is a good idea are raving lunatics.
Other cultures are fine - where they belong. And they don't belong in Australia, or any part of the West.
There is no “mature debate”. There is no debate. Authoritarians are just doing as they please, thanks to enablement by your average Ocker, who just moans about how hard life is, but still manages to have overseas holidays, three cars, and drink himself silly.
We need more than Price and Hastie. Pauline Hanson reckons One Nation could run things in 15 years. We don't have 15 years.
