Memo to Coalition: take heed of Trump : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 29/9/2025

Donald Trump has said it direct to the United Nations – mass migration and net zero are toxic for Western nations. Can our 'Liberal' party even grasp the nettle?

Albanese continues to make a fool of himself and Australia, turning up with 4 tinnies at Number 10. I suppose we should be thankful he wasn't decked out in a blue singlet, shorts and thongs.

The LNP also is also making a fool of itself and Australia, mimicking Labor. They are now using the same phrases: Ley's “modern Australia”, and Tony Burke using the same words as he smuggled in more Gazan “refugees” last Friday night.

Their slurs against decent Australians as they fill up the place with inappropriate immigrants is a disgrace.

Anyone called a ‘racist’ by these galahs should feel proud that they are not part of the political trash who use abuse instead of reason - because, of course, their ‘reason’ for what they do is evil, and will be the death of Australian culture.

People who think having radically different cultures in a Christian, Anglo Saxon country is a good idea are raving lunatics.

Other cultures are fine - where they belong. And they don't belong in Australia, or any part of the West.

There is no “mature debate”. There is no debate. Authoritarians are just doing as they please, thanks to enablement by your average Ocker, who just moans about how hard life is, but still manages to have overseas holidays, three cars, and drink himself silly.

We need more than Price and Hastie. Pauline Hanson reckons One Nation could run things in 15 years. We don't have 15 years.

- Well there's your problem, we're not a Christian Anglo Saxon country.

Didn't you get the memo?
We're a secular multicultural country.
And with this change, Australian culture now means we pride ourselves in giving immigrants a 'fair go'
...apparently.

You're just a minority now, so just shaddup and like it!

And yes. Australia is still a Christian Anglo Saxon country. The Christian basis of the country is still there. Christianity is still the country's biggest religion. Even with less than 50% saying they are Christians in a census, our laws, Parliament, courts are still based on Christian principles.

43.9% of Australians identified as Christians in the last census. 3.2% Muslim. 2.7% Hindu. 2.4% Buddhist.

That says Australia is still a predominantly Christian country. It still operates as a Christian country.

The ones who claim no religion don't count. But I suggest that many of those think that they are not Christian because they don't go to church. Well, I don't go to church either. I don't ‘turn the other cheek’, as some fool mentioned. But, I am Christian. My beliefs are between me and Jesus Christ. Not some bishop or minister - many of whom are the reason that Christians avoid the ‘churchy’ bureaucracy that is more into left wing politics than Christianity.

I agree with ttbn on his last post, his view of the culture/religion
of the country is correct.
However it is under threat, not as big a threat as Britain, France
etc etc.
A worrying trend that I have just read about is the need for public
speakers to wear bullet proof vests. It appears to have been kept
quiet but probably some pollies are already wearing them.
This did not start with the Charley Kirk killing but has been in place
for a while. With accurate weapons vests would be redundant.
It raises a question about the security of our email addresses on this site.
We do not seem to have attracted the attention of the ratbags yet.
They do not issue cease demands yet, but perhaps they never will !
In any case I think it would be prudent for some security tightening
might be useful.
