By David Singer, published 26/9/2025

The UN’s annual performance of the Phantom State of Palestine flouts international law and celebrates a state that exists only on paper.

Hi Yuyutsu,

You can't be in a war zone and not suffer. Its always the innocent who suffer the most, some more than others. In the Middle East the Israeli people are suffering as well, the deaths of the 1200 was not incidental it was a tragedy. All deaths caused by violence are a crime. I see no right and wrong side in war, only wrong, only suffering. The majority of the Israeli people, as are the majority of Palestinians, both innocent, they are not the cause, but rather the effect of war.

Hi AC,

I think Trumps 20 point plan is commendable, and with no Hamas in government the Palestinian people deserve a pathway to peace, and self determination. The vast majority of countries (including Australia) recognise that a two state solution, minus Hamas, is the only reasonable outcome

Dear Critic,

«the conditions may finally be in place»

Yes! The one condition needed is a different government in Israel, and it will take a bit of time as elections in Israel should be held no later than October 27th, 2026.

Hi Paul and Yuyutsu,
I doubt the Palestinians will go for it.
I predict 'no deal' and I think the West knows this.

They will try to get the Palestinians to rise up against Hamas, when they fail to accept the deal, but it was Israel doing the bombing and starving all along.

This is another one of those bs manufactured 'We offered them peace and they refused' scenarios, so when they refuse it buys Israel more time to inflict more collective punishment upon them, saying 'It could all end tomorrow, you children could have food if you will only kneel and submit.

This plan doesn't deal with the root causes of the conflict, there's not just Hamas but some 14 other resistance groups as well, and it doesn't bring Palestinians any closer at all towards self determination lead by their own, it just brings Israel closer to its own objectives by using food as a weapon to starving women and kids who I'm sure it is hoped will used as tools of division when Hamas refuses.

They tried to assassinate the whole negotiation team and leadership in Qatar, if they had there would be no-one left to negotiate with.

Blair he's hated and saw 1 million dead Iraqi's in the same wars for Israel, and don't tell me Trump hasn't cooked this up with Kushner both thinking they are helping achieve Jewish aims after 1000's of years, (He said as much when he introduced the plan} and the pair plan going to profit off hotels and reconstruction in Gaza.

Israel started its recent offensive in Gaza 3 weeks ago, and there's been a steady steam of helicopters airlifting injured Israelis out.
Al Qassam brigades are not going to submit and kneel.

Dear Critic,

«Al Qassam brigades are not going to submit and kneel.»

Neither Hamas nor Al Qassam, nor any other "Palestinian" for that matter, are a factor in this war, which is just an expression of the internal Israeli civil war, played out on them as well but mainly on the Israelis. This war started in Israel and can only end in Israel. One way is by fresh elections... if there ever will be fair elections again there. I do hope and pray for this war to end ASAP.
