The Nobel Peace Prize became meaningless when Obama got it before he had actually done anything.

This is just a pointless piece about a Wooden Spoon award.

Alas for John (but not the rest of us), there already is an “Ig Nobel” prize, humorously awarded for funny, eccentric or ridiculous scientific research. My favourite from last year’s awards was the biology prize awarded “for exploding a paper bag next to a cat that’s standing on the back of a cow, to explore how and when cows spew their milk.”

Interestingly, one scientist has been awarded both a Nobel and Ig Nobel Prize - Sir Andre Geim. He got an Ig Nobel in 2000 for an experiment conducting magnetic levitation on a live frog, and a real Nobel in 2010 for research on the electromagnetic properties of graphene.

I suspect that if John Töns’ version of Ig Nobels ever gets up, the list of dual award winners would be far longer – Henry Kissinger, Anwar Sadat, Willem De Clerk, and Yasser Arafat spring to mind.

I thought they were awarded to the biggest warmongers.
Trumps helped genocide the people of Gaza with US weapons, bombed Iran for no legitimate reason and continued the cycle of violence in Ukraine, maybe he'll win it.

Why do some people keep referring to the conflict in Gaza as genocide ? If anything, it's a suicide mission by Hamas Palestinians. Don't they get it that by not ceasing attacks they literally are asking for Israel to retaliate ?
The conflict would stop within minutes if they returned the hostages but no, they keep sending the poor out as cannon fodder & then scream genocide !
I don't think there is a word in the English Dictionary that describes that mentality !
