Manifestations of declining nationalism : Comments

By Mamtimin Ala, published 28/7/2025

These three key aspects of a nation are clear signs of the gradual decline of nationalism in the West, which does not die overnight; instead, it has a slow, agonising death until it collapses suddenly.

Being “born in the same place” and “sharing a common ancestry” no longer describes Australia, or most of the West, due to the political class's deliberate replacing of the population and the half-witted voters allowing them to do so.

A “national flag”? Albanese took three flags to China. What an idiot! What an embarrassment! He, more than any of the other morons before him, is determined to strip Australia of its identity, and replace the population with ignorant, Third World peasants on welfare.

Australia is well and truly stuffed - not because of China or anything outside us; but because of the enemy within: the Australian political class, and a stupid population.

My son has just switched to US citizenship, with my support.

Albanese does not represent anything that I could regard as Australian. He lives for China Net Zero and Open Borders India. His stated "Progressive Patriotism" is a treacherous travesty of healthy nationalism. Xi, Modi, and Trump, would all regard him with the contempt that he deserves.

All I can say for nationalism is, Good Riddance!

May this virus be fully eliminated soon and I wish a speedy recovery to all those still stuck and suffering from false identities.

Excessive nationalism is a dangerous thing. The notion of total adherence to the "Fatherland" has been shown in the past to have dire consequences for both the included, and those they seek to exclude. It breeds a sense of superiority at the expense of all others, it fosters suspicions, which soon leads to hatred and derision of the excluded, and ultimate to extreme violence against those so despised. Is that what we want for Australia? Me thinks not!
