How wokeness weakens the West but empowers China : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 18/7/2025

Interviewed July 2025 on his Australian book-tour, US sociologist Musa al-Gharbi waxed eloquent on wokeness and inequality, on US and China. Though I failed to subvert his next book.

First reports are the 6 day visit by Albanese to China has been very successful, both from an economic and a diplomatic point of view. The Old Fart brigade must truly be perturbed that the Australian PM has been able to pull off such a coup. Those banging on about Albo not as yet having a meeting with the pervert in the White House should take note of how international relations are properly conducted.

Indy,

"THERE IS NONE SO BLIND AS HE WHO WILL NOT SEE."

The proverb means people like YOU who refuse to accept or acknowledge the truth are the most difficult to convince or enlighten, even when presented with clear evidence. It highlights the power of willful ignorance and the difficulty of changing someone's mind when they are determined not to see.

Always presenting a negative outlook on everything. WHY?

We don't have much in the way of innovation in Australia. We follow the woke of the US and the UK. What's the betting that 16 year old children will be voting at the next election to ensure that Australia remains the ultra-Socialist mess that it has become?

The Left demands that we all ‘follow the science’; but they don’t follow the science of the human brain not fully maturing until the age of 25. Twenty five should be the voting age: not 16, not 18, not 21 - but 25.

Starmer in Britain thinks 16 year old kids should have a say in how ‘their money is spent’. What money does a 16 year old have!

Already the Greens are pawing the ground and whinnying about Australian children voting. Given their poor performance at the recent election, they would be; they are the party of the immature and silly in this country. Even One Nation pipped them, and a current poll shows the Greens 6% behind One Nation. Labor needs new idiots to replace the Greens.

Labor, having removed children from their mothers to be brain-washed in child care centres, should have no trouble exploiting older children; and they can force them to vote here, unlike the UK.

Drafting children to vote is not extending democracy, it is ensuring endless Communist-style government in Australia. And, with the push by the evil Left to ban kids under 16 from social media, the kids will be even more ignorant than their parents, and more easily fooled into voting for Socialism. Our Dear Leader has demonstrated over the past six days where his interests lay.

Albanese's attitude to Communist China and the leader of world democracy, America, has been “described as “anaemic neutrality”. Left of neutral I would have thought. He “risks appeasing Beijing while undermining Australia’s alliance with the United States”. At best, he is not interested in foreign threats or Australia's defence. His brain is certainly in ‘neutral’.
