Even on the eve of Federation it was contended that the capitals were congested cesspools. Federation promised decentralisation. It didn’t deliver.

Some ants live on protein while others live on sugar.
What does that mean?
Well it takes all types to equal the biomass of the ant population, and it takes all types to equal the biomass of the human population likewise.
So?
Well why should humans live like ants?
Who says they do?
This article suggests they choose to.
Oh!
And what should we do about it?
Well, we could poison a few humans as we often poison ants; it’s efficient for reducing numbers:
What about supporting China to land a few nukes smack in the middle of our major cities.
What a brilliant idea; down come the house prices to affordable levels.
Great, there is a way to solve the housing crisis after all.

The headline is wrong. It should read "Australia, we have an immigration problem!" Ever since WWII, Sydney and Melbourne have held roughly 40% of our population. Could be about time to get used to it?

The idea that Treasury can impose 46% population growth since 2000 and PIA-style "better planning" or "decentralisation" can fix thing is false and reprehensible. Mr Elliott, you are just talking your own book.
