Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply. Here in WA, our two government agencies responsible for fuel load reduction still conduct prescribed burns in summer and not just in the cool parts of the state. If the weather is appropriate, they'll burn if need be, just like the pre-1788 Aboriginals.

WA is more advanced and enlightened on Fuel reduction burning than the eastern states. Doing some summer burning is presumably necessary to achieve their ambitious annual burn target.
