Australia the 'Dumb Country' - can we get lucky again? : Comments

By John Mikkelsen, published 16/12/2024

Much of that is down to the fact that our Labor Federal Government refuses to acknowledge the rest of the world's industrialised nations are rapidly embracing clean, reliable nuclear energy under bi-partisan agreements.

Apparently the latest CSIRO gencost report continues away from the path of transparency and accuracy.

Idiots running the country. I will probably be gone or at least I hope so when people are forced to sit in the dark cooking tea over a few twigs in the street because clowns running the country today believe all will be solved with solar and wind. Sydney this week suffered load shedding and it will not get better. Bulldoze along hill tops , scares up the hills to erect towers, acres of good farming country covered in solar pads waiting for the first proper hail storm. Cant chop down a dangerous tree in your yard. What clowns we have running the country.

So we are told that 'now in the eyes of the developed world we are rapidly becoming the Dumb Country' without a source (who?) and the writer has expertise to make technical judgements?

Makes the writer appear neither patriotic nor loyal to Australia's future?

Evidence free, and ignores how many nations already have nuclear and the capabilities that can be ramped up. Australia does not and it will take at least a decade or more, including costs blow outs, to feed a fossil fuel transition delaying strategy?

Meanwhile, recommending that Australia avoids ever more economic renwables sources, storage and propulsion systems; in that sense 'Australia is dumb'?
