Sinister black uniforms were supposed to make the police look more authoritative or scary looking, but it doesn't seem to be working, with more of them being assaulted and even killed. People are starting to think that police are afraid to deal with anyone who is not a white person. They certainly haven't attracted much respect since Covid.
