Africa and the global order: fighting against its past : Comments

By Teck Lim, published 26/9/2024

This history is one that has been glossed over or omitted by Europe and its United States and other allies in their efforts at neo-colonial exploitation of Africa.

Anyone interested in Africa and Communist China’s dirty work on the continent should look up the 'Great Green Wall'.

Much of the wealth of today's Western societies was built on the exploration of the people, and the theft of resources from the Third World, Africa being one continent ruthlessly exploited by the greed of colonialism. If China, another country that suffered greatly at the hands of western colonial powers, is willing to work in a mutually beneficial partnership with today's Africa, I see nothing wrong with it.

Good article by Teck Lim, tells it like it is.

"The two sides advocate an equal and orderly multipolar world, and maintain that all countries, regardless of differences in terms of geographical size, population density and socioeconomic development, should have equal rights, equal opportunities and follow the same rules, uphold the international system with the U.N. at its core, the international order underpinned by international law and the basic norms governing international relations based on the purposes and principles of the U.N. Charter, oppose the monopoly of international affairs by a few countries, oppose hegemonism and power politics, and make global governance more just and equitable."

Seems like they've declared war on the United States.
Good for them, taking the future into their own hands.

Hi AC,

The world order as it now stands is the product of colonising exploitation by the West for more than three centuries, backed up by the use of strong arm military force against any opposition. Until the West went to war against itself 1914 to 1945, things were "fine",btw 1914/1945 that was all one big Mega War, its just that the West had to cease fighting itself militarily while it suffered a giant economic collapse. The economic collapse gave rise to a new unintended discontentment in Europe called Fascism, which reignited the military aspect of the Mega War The big winner of the Mega War was the United States, the big losers were the old colonial powers of Europe, lost their world dominance to the US. Post 1945 the United States embarked on a policy of world domination and exploitation through militarism. That was rather successful, the US managed to avoid a nuclear war with the new enemy Communism, which collapsed in on itself, being unsustainable, and at the same time the US was able to broadened its influence throughout the World. China is the new enemy as it clearly threatens American dominance and power, and as America declines a new war with China may be its only alternative.

Simple question is; How do you make, "America Great Again" if you don't thump the new enemy China?

I don't see China as an "enemy' ? If Westerners throughout the World are too stupid & lazy to think then that's not China's fault !
