Cutting greenhouse gas emissions must cost more than 'business as usual' : Comments

By Geoff Carmody, published 19/9/2024

Get real. All human life and its 'business as usual' produces greenhouse gas emissions. Always has.

"Renewables do lower costs, with many regions seeing power prices drop due to wind and solar".

Out of the mouth of Bowen, probably. Can anyone say that they have being paying less for electricity under the Albanese regime?

It's the power bills that tell the truth.

Did anyone else here note that South Australia had to curtail 99% of its solar output recently? Much more to come the more of this rubbish that comes online.

Pundits are now saying that the Coalition could - even will - win the next election.

I have my doubts, but given the appalling record of the Albanese regime and the hurt it has inflicted on ordinary Australians, maybe, just maybe, those ordinary Australians have had enough after just two plus years of the worst government - not just the worst Labor government - in living history.

57% of Australians say they are much worse off under the Albanese Socialist regime. About 30% - roughly the same as Labor’s first preference vote at the election - said they were no worse off, and the usual few wackos didn't know.

Albanese has been, and continues to be, “lamentable”.

. Driven by Left-wing dogma
. Insists on Net Zero, which is costly and useless; but so does the Coalition, one of the things against them winning
. Massive increase in CPI and energy
. Massive immigration. Something the Coalition must fix
. Massive numbers of foreign students immigrating through the back door
. Federal Education Minister Jason Clare has admitted that Australian universities will have roughly the same number of foreign students starting next year as they did last year
. Albanese is treating the economy as his “plaything”, “enriching those who pay subservience to ‘the Party’ via the union movement”
.Trashing farmland, pristine wilderness with windmills and solar panels
. Repelling investors with green tape and expensive energy
. Business us turning against Albanese

The Coalition has a lot to do, a lot of changes to make. They are not perfect, but after the misery Australians are experiencing under the Albanese regime, they are Australia's only hope.

Could someone who knows please provide information as to what renewable energy that has less emission than coal or Diesel power is presently in use?
Hydro-electric is the only one I'm aware of that's doing that once the infrastructure has been completed.
