Australia's clean energy experiment : Comments

By Tom Biegler, published 8/7/2024

Australia's official power generation statistics make it obvious that we have no chance of meeting the clean energy needs of an all-electric fossil-fuel-free modern industrialised economy.

Wrecking the coal mining and Australia's fishing industry is very profitable for those doing the wrecking.
Just secure commissions, profits and bribes from imported fuel, fertilizer, food, solar panels and turbines. Huge profits from retail.
No need to get hands dirty from local production.
Data online from home and a few holiday meetings with brown paper bags overseas can do it all.
No wonder our economy is going nowhere.
Tucker Carlson would understand.

Taswegian, I suspect that Alan B may have succumbed to the passage of time. Our moderator may have some information.

ttbn- I often think that the Marxist's try to disable the West's productive capacity by West only policies, in order to destroy them. Energy policy is just another step along the path to destruction.

Taswegian, the context tells you the kind of energy (here, electrical) and the units don't change that. However people do get used to habitual applications of specific units. Don't let that throw you. I had a
0.5 kWh breakfast today without getting a shock. Convert here https://www.onlineconversion.com/energy.htm.

It’s every man for himself on these pages, obviously a lesson not yet learned by VK3AUU.

To save yourself from the clique, try talking to adults!
