While Netanyahu has no conscience, he is no Zionist, but a selfish criminal who cares naught for Israel, only for his own skin and the rich tastes of his wife and children, meanwhile ruining Israel and dismantling everything that Zionism ever built.

Original Zionism sought to include the local Arabs as honourable and equal citizens at the center of the new modern state they wanted to create, thus bringing progress to the whole region - not a Jewish state, but a Hebrew state for those who wished to escape the cursed predicament of European Judaism along their ancient brothers and sisters who never left the land.

I think you are a bit naive if you believe that. The average Jewish inhabitant might desire that but the Zionists want an aparthied state with the non-jews as second class citizens.

You need to realise the imperative for Israel, to give it any glimmer of hope for its future. lies in the change of the US Administration, possible but not assured this November. A common view I subscribe to.
