Could there be a more obvious diversion? : Comments

By Graham Young, published 11/4/2024

Former Labor Minister Craig Emerson's Interim Report of the Review of the Grocery Code of Conduct is the latest attempt by the Albanese government to avoid blame for the cost-of-living crisis.

As with Rudd Labor 2008, the main economic "guru" for Albanese Labor 2024 is Ross Garnaut. Who continues to argue that carbon pricing and carbon mitigation can lead Australia to a glorious economic future.

He's been wrong every single time, yet now he's pitching a Carbon Solutions Levy for 2031. With friends like Ross...

Apart from Emerson getting a gig at out expense, the whole 'code' yabber is just another Albanese smoke screen to hide the real problem, the government,

If Albanese was genuinely concerned about prices and cost of living, he would be better employed putting someone onto investigating how much Australian taxpayers' share is of the $2.7 trillion spent world-wide to make sun an solar power "cheap".

Nagging and hassling low profit margin supermarkets is pathetic.

Makes one wonder, (extending the theme), what will be the diversionary tactics masking the flood of Palestinian terrorists masquerading as refugees, all but here!

I believe, you may be right, Graham. And all because they have an asinine self-imposed moratorium on nuclear energy as an option!

As Forest Gump would say, stupid is as stupid does.

Further to that, supported by the demographic with the lowest IQs on the planet. Who never ever look at policies or issues, just vote labor cause grandad allus did!

Greens and Left Alliance ? Do you even read your own nonsense ? By that you mean The National Party ? Not partiulalry left. I'd suggest we've been let down by competition policy, as witnessed by Kaufland's pulling out of Australia , spending $10s of millions, after Coles Woolworths supplier threats to those who might suuoly them. NZs even worse.

I'd suggest breaking up Woolworths and Coles and making a third nationalised chain (purchasing the assets at market value) using 1/3 of the assets of each.

Labour used Emerson because he had the answer they wanted, that's assured, so it was really a nonsense to appeal to those who keep voting Green (like me for theblast 15 years) to stem the Labor bleed but this sort of nonsense won't help.
