In Australia, we see the tech-utopians being butchered, metaphorically speaking, on our doorstep. Of concern here is the Communications Legislation Amendment (Combating Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023.

" ...the sirens should be going off".

Even if they did, dopy, ovine Australians wouldn't hear them. That they woke up long enough to vote NO to the Voice was nothing short of a miracle, unlikely to be repeated.

It is axiomatic, that the biggest liar is always the government, but Albanese, Chalmers, and O'Neil, have taken it to disgraceful new heights.

We are in serious trouble, if their MisInfo Bill becomes law. It goes without saying, that they are exempted. In Labor folklore, handed down from Rudd, it is "Bad Old Rupert" who is the problem.

Albanese, more than any previous ALP leader, is giving Australians a taste of what a totalitarian Australia would be like, but they seem to be to disinterested to 'get it'.

Perhaps because of the other pressures Albanese is exerting to cover his aims: cost of living, identifying politics, division by race, cost of housing, lack of housing, lack of rental housing, lots of inappropriate immigrants. A whole host of nasties.

I agree, we needed something to stop what can only be described as false facts, and straight out BS. If this bill doesn't do that, then amendments might? One can understand Binroy's chagrin at the proposal, given some of his previous commentary.

Could we say…”The road to anarchy is paved with good intentions..?

The current Biden Administration is good example.

The last race for Democracy is running in most Countries of the West, and without doubt, the leading charge is the current US Democrat Administration.

Australian Politics is the indelible copy.

The more so-called intelligent educated people get involved in anything to do with society, the more complex that mountain ex-anthill becomes !
