Public-service mega-migration spin is winning the war on voters : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 29/11/2023

Worried about misinformation? Worry about federal departments and agencies – hyping UN 'net zero' emissions – yet institutionalising mega migration.

Where are the jobs to take on all these newcomers ? Definitely not in revenue producing manufacturing !
Or is it a case of Labor expecting to be ousted & deliberately lump a Coalition Govt with extreme economic challenges just out of spite ?

A word salad and whine masquerading as demographic analysis, while the writer is linked to Sustainable Population Australia (in turn links to 'Tanton Network', hosted by SPA, in US NGOs inform Bannon, Trump, Miller et al. & Farage et al in UK, & in US shares donors with fossil fuel Atlas or Koch Network).

https://population.org.au/stephen-saunders/

Since 2006 our population has been susceptible to spikes, then estimated population too, since the NOM net overseas migration is presented as permanent migration, but it's not.

Permanent is capped 190K p.a. but the NOM residency test 12/16+ months captures border movements especially international students (after Covid nadir); mostly data noise at present, but will subside.

Fastest population growth cohort? Over 70 year olds, not unrelated to 5.4 million boomer bubble, in the permanent cohort vs. generations of below replacement fertility, fewer youth and since 2009 working age has passed the demographic sweet spot, hence, increasing old age dependency ratios.

Retirees are directly and indirectly dependent upon budgets supported by working age PAYE, GST etc. taxpayers, and the NOM 'churn over' are net financial contributors because majority do not and cannot remain in the country (alternative? Decline in services &/or rise in taxes).

The OECD data trends, avoided locally for political reasons, are stark, see increasing old age dependency ratios https://data.oecd.org/chart/7hkZ

Interestingly, the influence of white Australia admirer and visitor, deceased white nationalist John 'passive eugenics' Tanton,'the architect of the modern anti-immigration movement' is seen in bipartisan migration policies, language and media headlines on refugees, immigration and population growth.

Heads up, especially anyone who thinks they are a committed pro-life Christian, especially Catholic, John 'passive eugenics' Tanton was pro-abortion, euthanasia, sterilisation, immigration restrictions etc. and bigoted, Islamophobic, anti-semitic and anti-Catholic.

Good potted history here from the US by Binkowksi '22:
