Geopolitical risks associated with giant infrastructure projects: are diversified sea routes more sustainable? : Comments

Sea routes do not require the same level of upfront investment as land-based infrastructure. Additionally, maritime routes can adapt to changing trade dynamics more easily.

So, Australia is not the only country stupid enough to hand over a 99 year lease of its ports to the greatest threat to it, Communist China.

Our stupid PM, against the idea when he was in opposition, now doesn't have the guts - or the desire - to quash it, in his headlong rush to keep sweet with a Communist dictator he can't wait to kowtow to in Beijing, rather than staying home to do something about the mess he has got Australia into.

And, need we worry about sea routes when the Communists we have sucked up to can stop us from getting just about everything we need in an instant anyway?

If I had control over China's belt and road investment funds, they would be invested exclusively in very rapid rail that connect to roll on roll off, nuclear powered steam venturi drives.

The drive at the underside front, able to turn 360 degrees. The two at rear able to turn to face completely backwards. To provide maximum assistance in turning or stopping. And capable of better than fifty knots submerged.

Nuclear powered bulk shipping remains the most profitable business model in the world, followed by nuclear powered roll on roll off ferries, followed by nuclear>electric rail freight.

All in the can't lose category. And we should be doing it for ourselves!

And could be but for Tweedle Dumb and (Govt. has no business in business) Tweedle Dumber in Canberra! Asine subjectivity! Risible rubbish!

Any Govt.is only as good as the advice they accept! We need to get the airheads out of the public service and out of alleged "leadership" roles!
