Did anyone believe in the "long-standing and publicly stated policy to have a royal commission into the pandemic"? Does anyone believe that there will ever be an enquiry of any kind, given Sleazy Albanese's contempt for Australians, and the opposition's lack of interest?

The use of global emergencies is the core of the ruling class’s plans. And they will have another go, probably in the not so distant future - let's say in the couple of years left to the Albanese government - particularly if the horrible creature doesn't get his way with the Voice.

We have over a trillion dollars of debt to service and royal commissions are very expensive. There are other spending priorities, with much higher order of magnitude that need addressing first.

Besides, we know what went wrong as major, air head, noncompliance with health orders. And a royal commission won't tell us much more than that other that the lowest paid could not afford to comply.

Fix that before the next pandemic and save lives plus the money we could waste on a politically motivated and largely redundant inquiry.

Obviously Labor realised a Royal Commission would pin most blame on Labor state governments rather than the Liberals. With the advantage of any commission finding more likely to go to the Liberals, of course Labor won't be having one.

Get real, Scott. The Robodebt Royal Commission is as good as it gets.

There is no way, that Albanese would allow, a similar exercise for the COVID response. He knows perfectly well, that a Labor Government would not have done any better. Probably worse, because Labor would have been more reluctant to accept, that COVID came from China.
