Novak Djokovic: always more than tennis : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 19/6/2023

Even in Melbourne, a town where his following is strong (he has won 10 Australian Opens), the call back circuit on the local ABC radio station qualified, ignored, even denigrated the Serb.

Yep.. three cheers for the undefeated.

But, another famous Serbian, Jelena Dokic, rolled over to female self pity and victim hood status quo, to scorch a guaranteed future in the land of milk and honey and boring conformity.

Australians and many EU citizens are victims of indoctrination by evil political and media elites in the West who view some people as subhuman including Russians, Chinese, Serbs and Macedonians while worshiping Western nations who they see as superior in every way. The lived experience in the world of Tennis demonstrates that such attitudes are based on hubris and racism. Novak Djokovic deserves more respect from Australia and the world as the best Tennis player and a proud Serb. He is a rebel and a lion. The world needs people like Novak and it needs to stop discriminating against him and everyone else that rejects new despotism in fake democracies.

This piece is patently biased and cherry picks "facts". Aside from that, let me add, we will decide who comes here and the manner of their arrival.

<< A rebel and a lion >> How true ... great post, Macedonian Advocacy!

And excellent article, Binoy Kampmark ... full of insight and written with a refreshing and increasingly rare generosity of spirit ... such a positive contrast to the miserable post trotting out John Howards' mean and shameful words.

Another thing that endeared Djokovic to me was the calm and unruffled manner he maintained right throughout the whole sorry immigration/vaccination saga. He kept his cool despite the enormous hurt and disappointment he would have been feeling as he was ridiculed, demonised and ultimately rejected by a whole nation of people who should have known better. Shame on us!
