Modi in Australia: down under bliss for Hindutva : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 29/5/2023

No other leader visiting Australia has received such treatment, but it is clear that Albanese felt comfortable being excruciatingly accommodating, given his own stadium experience in India.

What more could you say than what Bro Binoy has said…a less than hidden farce sums it up.

Sycophantia at is sickening worst.

Does Australia need to present itself as a bare arsed homosexual always, in its public displays of slavish following along.

Albanese would be interested in the Indian caste system; he is intent on dividing and categorising Australians. The Voice will be just the beginning, if we allow him to get away with it. Albanese looked like an over-excited little boy, alongside Modi, being driven around a stadium named after the Indian PM.

India has often had bad, self-serving leaders - a couple of them dealt with violently.

I agree that the love-in - more Albo's than Modi's - with crowds of Indians acting like Indians do in a manner never put on by Australians for any politician, was "creepy". The same sorts of crowds can also be more dangerous than creepy with anyone they don't like. It's very disturbing to see such mass hysteria occur in our country.

But, that is multiculturalism for you. Australia was warned, but they did anyway.

Speaking to an Indian Tamil, he described Modi as a modern day "Hitler", sighting examples of corruption, cronyism and sectarianism within the Indian state, with Modi being a major beneficiary.

Modi is a creep, but so is Albanese. He has torn up our education and training standards, for massive Indian immigration, so as to further dilute Australian industry and wage standards. Albanese Labor hates workers.

We all crave approval from our mommies, but this is just too much, highly destructive. Couldn't he just make do with the Trudeau-Time accolades of "immense courage" and "ambitious climate action"?

An overdue event and FTA. If all this cuddling and best new mate/ex-colonials, is what it takes to get it done, then so be it.

Politicians both Australian and Indian are well versed in the art of BS. And this looks like the aforementioned with a capital B!

The Albanese Government is full of inconsistencies, hubris and double standards in its shocking foreign policies. Some it criticises, de-humanises and treats with contempt and others especially new despots in the US, UK, EU and NATO and India it treats with respect and no questions asked.

Sadly Australia's foreign policy is based on the dictates, demands and strategic requirements of the United States. Like the weak toady of the schoolyard bully Australia is left for the humiliation of others, not respected by perceived friends or foes.

My opinion, tear up phoney alliances, order the foreign mercenaries out, plot an independent non aligned policy, concentrate on self defence, and earn some bloody respect for ourselves in this world.

What has guaranteed our freedom thus far has been our alliances. And one cannot have too many strong alliances in today's world.

Going it alone would almost guarantee we become the southernmost state of an ebullient expansionist China. Thanks, but no thanks. We're not that stupid.

Dear Paul,

«Sadly Australia's foreign policy is based on the dictates, demands and strategic requirements of the United States.»

Yes, this is quite sad - so how many alternatives do we have that we can afford to reject India as well?

So you want to go neutral, like Switzerland?

I will not support such an attitude as "me and my doggie are OK and free so let Taiwan be eaten by the demons": Taiwanese people are presently relatively free, just like us in Australia, so would it be right to abandon them to the forces of evil?

A holocaust is presently being carried out against the Uighur people in China, and the Tibetan people are not in much better shape either - would you say the same in World-War-II about Germany and the Jewish holocaust? "Oh it's OK because they won't reach the shores of Australia"?

You want to concentrate on self-defense? Switzerland at least had just enough forces to deter Nazi Germany and be saved by the skin of their teeth, helped also by their mountainous topography - but what has Australia to show for itself? Any nukes? Any chemical or biological weapons? Any intercontinental ballistic missiles to carry them? Any serious submarine fleet that can threaten the Chinese shores? Lets talk again when it does!
