Although the 55-year-old Israeli occupation cannot be justified under any circumstances, Palestinian leaders have greatly contributed to its disastrous continuation.

Not sure the Palestinians wanted any of this or to become martyrs. True they wanted to drive Israel into the sea. But those days could be behind us with a negotiated two state agreement. And never ever doable as long as Israel continues to illegally annex more occupied land as the spoils of war!

And they have!

Not physically, but morally and spiritually they got Israel corrupted from within, they got its society torn up, they got it to completely miss the dream its founders aspired to. Whether it physically survives or otherwise, Israel no longer serves a purpose. It has drowned.

I think this article puts a stake in the heart of any claims of victimhood by the Palestinians.
