Oh dear!

One mention of the 90 seconds to the midnight scare on TV a few weeks ago, ignored by most people who are now so used to media scare-mongering that they are even more complacent than they have ever been.

The opinion "that the West led by the United States is determined to accelerate the momentum towards war with Russia and China, thus increasing the risk of nuclear conflict" will probably also be ignored, as it should be.

China and Russia are the ones pushing for war, aided by that absurd little failed comedian in Ukraine, allowing his country and people to be blown to bits to promote his scruffy self.

This anti-West drivel cannot alter the fact that all the threats of war come from Communist lunatics, particularly Xi Jinping - Mao the Second. The danger IN the West, not from it, comes from a the useless slags supposed to be protecting us who don't know their arses from their elbows.

Perhaps the best thing for life on the planet would be the elimination of humanity. Domestic cattle, fowl and sheep would probably also disappear as they could not survive in the wild. Gradually human works would disappear, and the planet could recover from the human plague.

There is hope for life.

My observations lead me to think that it is the consumer orientated society of the West that started & is the actual cause of just about all global upheaval followed closely by religion-manipulating middle ages mentality power mongers.
The average human is so easily manipulated into whatever the power mongers want them to be enslaved to. The stupidity aided by the ignorance of the brainwashed, is the most effective way to hook them on consumerism simply because everyone always wants 'more' !
For one to receive more, another has to forfeit ! Eventually, the forfeiters have enough of that nonsense & when they burr up, they're branded 'aggressors' !
In the early days each country had the same scenario playing out but from the 1600's Spanish, British & Dutch onward the decease spread & morphed into one global epidemic !
The Maharajahs & Emperors of the East were no exceptions as weren't the tribal chiefs of Africa.
White men stood out simply because they were the most recent & everything was recorded & even the most back-block tribes are now able to learn about it but their own past is glossed over by the modern hindsight victimhood outfits ! Now, the indoctrinated & brainwashed have taken over from the ignorant & so the cycle continues ! Universities have literally taken over the role of religion !

People are certainly easy to manipulate, according to polls that say a majority of them support the racist, Constitution-harmful Voice - despite Ockernese's incompetence and inability to to articulate its purpose, apart from it being a 'nice thing' to do.

People don’t hold the Socialists responsible for the rise in the cost of living, the dearest electricity in the world etc. They blame 'elites' because they can't face the truth that they have approved it, actively or passively, themselves.

Christianity has gone: only the old-school Religious Right think that it will come back.

We can now be described as barbaric. Politics will not help us. The new order is not a problem that can be solved - it is the new reality we have to live with.

It is not the West that is accelerating momentum towards war, but Russia and China.

It is Russia that invaded Ukraine, not Germany or the USA. It is Russia that threatens to use nuclear weapons. It is Russia that is committing appalling war crimes and targeting civilian homes and infrastructure. The West is – rather tentatively and belatedly – helping Ukraine to defend itself against these vicious and illegal acts, because it recognises that Russia’s aggression cannot and should not be tolerated, and that Russia will not stop at Ukraine if it is successful.

China has demonstrated that it is not willing to abide by international law and cannot be trusted to keep its word. Its expansion in the South China sea is illegal and a threat to its neighbours’ sovereignty. Its attempts to bully Australia into silencing criticism of its regime by illegal trade sanctions demonstrate that it is an untrustworthy trading partner and has no commitment to international trade norms and rules. Every exporting business in Australia should take note. It cannot be trusted.

China reneged on its commitment to protect human rights and the rule of law in Hong Kong, and is increasingly signalling its willingness to invade Taiwan and overthrow its democracy. It is this threat – conveniently not mention in Lim’s article – that prompted General Minihan (not Munihan) to warn that war might happen as soon as 2025.

Minihan said “I hope I am wrong”. I hope he is too. But the past few years have been a wake-up call for the West. If we want to preserve our values and freedoms, we may have to fight for them.

A modern nuclear war would not be a doomsday end of humanity scenario.
Yes, millions would die, which could be any of us, but not billions.

This is due to the rational statistical nuclear strategies based on mathematical game theory, where superpowers will avoid launching nuclear missiles unconditionally at preset targets, but instead only issue a batch of random and automatic, rather small, probabilities of launching nuclear missiles at random enemy targets. This mathematical model shows how the result will produce only limited damage.

It is Russia that invaded Ukraine, not Germany or the USA.

Germany is responsible for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The bombings of Chechnya and Aleppo were entirely legal and justified - in fact, maybe Germany was responsible for those, too.

Navalny clearly deserved to imprisoned for embezzlement and contempt of court, and Putin had nothing to do with his being poisoned.

Zelensky is a Nazi.

And the USA just shot down an innocent civilian airship that strayed off course.

It is understandable that the citizens of countries such as Russia should parrot such dishonest propaganda because they have no access to independent, accurate information and analysis, and because the consequences of challenging the official line can be dreadful. We have no such excuse.
