There is no Sport in Australia in the true sense of the word. It's about making as much money as possible & adulation !

You will still find some true sport Indyvidual, at places like pony clubs & little athletics, but all too often professional organisations ruin it for the kids.

We had a thriving socker club here. 5 kids teams, & an occasional adult team. Then the professional organisation took over the kids game, & decided to expand the area of their organisation. Suddenly we found our teams scheduled to play at Murwillumbah, just on 100 kilometers away at 4.30PM on a school day. Hell our school buses are still bring kids home until 4.15.

We now have no socker, the little athletics moved to a different township as our parent organisers aged, & the oval is full of a cross country jumping course, as the pony club is the only one still active. Even the net ball died.

Our district has many more residents, but no one organising for kids any more. Perhaps the younger ones are too busy earning the repayments on huge mortgages to have time, & we older ones were worn out.
