Even if Bol was guilty of taking EPO, it is worth noting that 20 other tests since the positive one of 11 October 2022 were negative.

Managerial Capitalism has killed of the relevance of sport to most people, outside any other relevance than sports bet.

The virtuous sportsman also dead, along with the death of the spirit of man in his quest against nature to win. Drugs will succeed as usual, and as they usually do, by giving the “edge” to advantage; very helpful on Wall Street!

And as the crowds gathered around the betting ring sucked on their vaping pipes, swilled alcohol and drew deeply on the “funny” cigarettes and other apparatus, it is estimated $35b was waged on the World Cup.

Where will the legitimacy of sport turn to from here?

I believe we need to avoid these drugs which may yet produce negative health issues years down the track. Instead, we need to focus on genetics and natural if assisted drug free superiority. I mean why is an ant so strong and a cheetah so fast?

Apart from that, why don't we put more emphasis onto intellectual excellence and achievement. sport after all is the opiate of the masses and stops them from examining government decisions/spending to critically.

Setting a world record in pole vaulting may give personal satisfaction and the adoration of the masses but will never pole vault mankind to the stars and where we need to go now that we've phucked mother earth.

If I am watching TV news and the announcer says, "And now to sport" I turn the set off or switch channels.

Sports, particularly those in Olympic competition were destroyed once they went professional. It was obvious what was happening with professionalism when the Ozzie success disappeared at the same time.

The switch from local enthusiasts clubs to franchisees also reduced the sport in sport. It was a much better world when the bloke who was a brilliant half back on Sunday in the local team, was the bloke serving behind the counter at the grocery store on Monday.

I don't bother changing channels, I just go & make a coffee.

Yes Hasbeen. Not only the professionalism of it, with massive salaries to play games, but also the politics. I used to take a passing interest in test cricket when I was really bored, but not since the Australian idiot captain went Woke and political. I hope the Poms thrash them every time.
