illustrating so clearly why the feminist cause is as necessary
Rhian,
The sad, really sad part of it all is that feminists are so un-feminine hence their only alternative is to resort to power !
Have you ever seen a classy, attractive feminist ?

I know scores of classy attractive feminists (try Google), but no classy or attractive misogynists

Indy, I am a heterosexual with 2 girls and 2 female grandkids. I've met men who boosted about gang raping a girl in front of her family, friends and me.

Same men got very drunk and fell from a very high, high-rise balcony some weeks later. And suddenly the world became a better place. Police wrote it off as drunken tomfoolery.

Her father and his new bride sailed that very week for Tahitia to retire. I'm not saying there was any connection, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was. And how one would expect a "normal" heterosexual male/outraged dad to react to the news his daughter was so violated.

I believe there is nothing wrong with my personal (normal heterosexual) perspective! But I believe yours is seriously suspect.

We can only speak from our own experiences.
However, I do believe that for most of us times
have changed. Our relationships have become more
flexible. Today - there usually aren't designated
stereotypical "roles," as there used to be in the
past. as to who does what. Both partners today
usually share the jobs and support each other.

Today - it usually takes two salaries to support a
family. We still have a gender pay gap for many people.
And things are not easy - but the flexibility and
family support certainly helps. People today decide
for themselves in their relationships - how things
are going to work for them. And that certainly helps
to make things work.
