The hot gospel of the World Economic Forum : Comments

By Laurence Maher, published 22/12/2022

Judging by the scale, structure and substance of its web site, the most striking feature of the WEF is its all-knowing, ultra-ultra-elitist mission of very, very selective planetary salvation.

The WEF and its founder are pure evil, intent on reducing most of us to serfdom.

This is stuff that allows one to conclude that the inmates are now in charge of the asylum.

And the proffered solutions (obdurate obfuscation) reminiscent of shining a powerful beam from a third story window and sliding down it to escape.

Hot gospels are simply a mechanism to avoid actually facing the truth about what we need to do to fix what conservative economic rational have phucked.

If we would fix the economy, we need to avail ourselves of the world's cheapest energy. MSR thorium. Which is also the safest, greenest and cleanest. And then use cooperative capitalism to ensure that the economic recovery is turbocharged on steroids.

I think it was about a quarter of a century ago that one of the neocons came up with the despicably brilliant idea of labelling belief in anthropogenic global warming a religion, thus making it appear evil to Christians and illogical to his fellow atheists, even though in reality it was neither of those things. Though most people saw through the trick, in some countries enough people fell for it to entrench political inaction for years.

Christians should always guard against such attempts to manipulate them. Atheists (and others) too should be wary. And Laurence Maher's blatant attempt to do the same with the word "sustainability" deserves universal condemnation!

The word "sustainability" may be slightly overused, but it's not as if it's become an almost meaningless buzzword like "vibrant". Most people are well aware that future generation means not making things worse for future generations. It particularly relates to the environment, where it can be impossible to ever undo the results of bad decisions.

The WEF is well connected, but has no power at all. As I said in the 15 Minute City thread in the General section, I strongly suspect it's struggling to maintain relevance, and may be encouraging the conspiracy theorists to keep it in the public eye.

Apologies for my editing error I did of course mean that:
Most people are well aware that SUSTAINABILITY means not making things worse for future generations. It particularly relates to the environment, where it can be impossible to ever undo the results of bad decisions.
