The NYT prints all the news that's fit to print. Apparently they judged that that news isn't fit to print. Israel is lurching toward clerical fascism with Smotrich and Ben-Gvir in government. Possibly, that doesn't worry you. That is news. A country which calls itself a democracy should have equal rights for all in its boundaries rather than pushing some people to be part of another country. Do the Arabs in Israel or in the occupied territories want be Jordanians? Did you ever consider what they want?

Indeed, this plan is neither new nor newsworthy.
Not new because the author has already been pushing it since 2008, for example in http://www.onlineopinion.com.au/view.asp?article=7946&page=2 "The Security Council of the United Nations needs to unanimously resolve taking the following steps... 4. establish an International Boundaries Commission to redraw the international boundaries between Jordan, Israel and Egypt with the participation and joint consent and approval of all three countries to such new boundaries." Not newsworthy because Arabs, perhaps due to the effects of the desert sun overhead, have already made so many imbecile plans to destroy Israel before, so many desert fantasies such as "I'll build the world's largest desalination plant, then give all the water to my camel and walk him to Palestine, where he will urinate and all Jews will drown...". The author's "Saudi" plan is no different in character and the chances of Israel and/or Jordan ever accepting it, are equal to the chances that a camel would submerge a building with his urine, let alone a whole country... --- Great comment, David F.! Let the two concerned parties get together, minus your endless pointless prattle about a Hashemite Kingdom. And nut out an agreement/a two state solution they can live with.
Preferably before more time and innocent lives are wasted in the current butchery!
