Repeal the Second Amendment, palladium of death : Comments

It is shameful and unconscionable that this country has allowed gun violence to become the leading cause of death among children in the United States.

Can anyone explain why the USA, having more firearms in civilian hands than any other country on Earth has a low homicide rate?
Surely with the most guns it should have the highest homicide rate.

When the yankee Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Second Amendment does not conferva right it recognises an existing right.
