May I direct you to the 'fake house' built above the concrete bunker at 21-25 Green Street on the western side of Castle Hill. When last visited about six years ago, the bunker housed the SES and the 'fake house' was home to a few community groups.
During WW2 it is my understanding that the bunker housed a signals intelligence unit. For a few years after the war ended, my parents-in-law and their children lived in the 'fake house' - it was then temporary officer accommodation for the RAAF!
