Our influence in Papua New Guinea continues to decline : Comments

The reasons why our standing continues to decline make the task of rebuilding our influence more challenging than ever.

In my opinion we handed PNG its independence way too soon! And now reap the after effects, including a level of (cargo cult) official corruption That we have no control over! Throwing more money at the problem is tountamont, I believe, to lining the pockets of thieves, vagabonds and lying scumbags.

They need to be cast adrift and made to stand on their own and sink or swim like any nation that like us, has matured into adulthood. And where the colonial nanny teat is no longer helpful! This is one albatross we do not need around our collective necks!

Our biggest mistake was denying the Papuans their rights as Australian citizens.
