For some time it has become apparent that all is not well in the upper echelons of government in The Middle Kingdom. This is not only at the top but also the population at large. The increased surveillance of the masses may well be Xi's ultimate undoing. It will be interesting to see how the 6th Plenum evolves.

On another track, I wonder why the masses of Chinese are arriving by air in Sydney at the rate of several thousand per day. Will they want to go home?

Dictators usually rule by fear and the extermination of rivals! This means that as more and more rivals are disappeared, more and more of their relatives are consumed with rage!

Little wonder then that the glorious leader is on increasingly shaky ground as he creates more and more enemies, who will plot against him and his entourage!?

And if those secretly standing/plotting against him also include a few army generals and high ranking police personnel? His jeopardy increases! Perhaps to the point where those assigned to protect and defend him? Decide to do something else?

A tiny sliver of bamboo in his food? A bullet to the brain as he sleeps and regardless of the consequences by his most trusted defender? An explosive device in the road he is planning to travel on or the plane, train, ship or rail line?

Rule with unremitting fear and this will be his end!? And maybe sooner than he thinks?
