Covid hysteria based on lies, propaganda and ignorance : Comments

By James Allan, published 7/10/2021

All the Covid hysteria around most of the democratic world, and especially in Britain, New York state, Canada and here in Australia, is driven by two main things.

  4. 3

Just in my lifetime, global population has ballooned from a barely-manageable 2.5b to nearly 8b. No virus can be expected to cut through that.

COVID is only a temporary diversion. Soon the humans can fully revert to emoting about UN "sustainable development" and "net zero".

Good to see this excellent article reproduced by ONO. Here is my unpublished letter to The Australian to support Prof Allan: The Editor The Australian 2Oct21 Dear Ed
Thanks to Professor James Allan for writing, and to The Australian, for publishing, such a lucid summary 'Covid hysteria built on ignorance, propaganda and incompetence' (02/21). It is no mere co-incidence that registered deaths from the 'flu dropped to zero in Australia last year, while those attributed to Covid rose accordingly. Norway has woken up to the fact that Covid should be treated as the ‘flu has been in past years, and removed pandemic restrictions. Maybe now church services including births, marriages and deaths may be accorded the same freedom of association as football teams, and masks, the unhealthy barriers to both communication and the oxygen needed to support healthy bodies, will soon be just a passing phase of mandatory madness in the panoply of human progress.

"Most people" have been told, many times, that for 99.7% of them, Covid is a mild inconvenience. But, most people appear to enjoy being scared silly and pushed about by tinpot dictators who are making the most of the opportunity to act like little Stalins, Hitlers or Xis.

Models? Yes. What a joke. The same things that are also used to frighten people with climate change and ruin Western economies.

Australia, or rather its political class, is having more international opprobrium heaped on it every day.

All and sundry will probably ignore John McRobert's mention of the fact that nobody seems to have died of influenza since Covid. People have always died of common influenza: over 3,000 in 2017. What a think bunch Australians are.

On 7 News in Adelaide last night, the idiot reading it advised that Premier Marshmallow could be 'giving us an early Christmas present' by opening the borders. Giving us something that is not Constitutionally his to give or take away! Be good boys and girls, and the nice master will allow you to have freedoms that have always been your right to have.

Ditto repeato - Australians are a thick bunch, and an embarrassment to millions of sheep.

Covid hysteria!? WTF? I cannot see this animal!

What I did see was incompetence and complacency! And a she'll be right attitude, from the extreme right! Who clearly were able to avoid looking at the death rate mass graves in, let her rip, municipalities!

I get that those on the far right, believe that the economy trumps health outcomes!

For myself, I have only been able to register for a jab! Given supplies, of vaccines, have just arrived in our town!

If the alleged non-evident hysteria had been an actual event, then we could have had these supplies a year ago!? And up to 95% of the vox pop fully vaccinated!

I'll agree that there has been propaganda and ignorance! As some from the extreme right, sought to ever downplay the pandemic?

And others champing at the bit to get the economy up and running in a cart before the horse imperative! And turned us into NY!

What has been forever missing from this narrative, has been island quarantine and effective antivirals now in glacial speed development? Where adequate funding would have seen clinical trials many months ago and in some of the poorest nations on earth where the outcomes would have reduced transmission to us by an incalculable number!

And island quarantine would have meant, no shutdown would have been required? particularly if we incorporated rapid tests and home testing?

And were the above been the management paradigm, it probably would have revealed that there are three or four times more infected than official reporting and the probable source of all the mystery transmissions?

And had the preferred management paradigm been installed? Then most of the case numbers would have been completely avoided and the domestic economy going nonstop gangbusters! And an outcome only prevented by abysmal ignorance and the usual cage-rattling propaganda from the far-right/neo Nazis/white supremists/lunatic fringe!

Flu rates are down along with the death rate, ttbn, because of travel restrictions and lockdowns! Meaning transmission rates of the flu and the common cold are way down! And explained as I have by the immutable science of cause and effect! These are usually spread by those with infections, soldiering on and circulating. Giving those two the maximum chance to infect the maximum number of hosts! And it's as simple as that, ttbn.

Well I don't know where this bloke earned his professorship but it seems it wasn't at the 'School of Accuracy'.

He charges in with: “So now turn to Sweden, with a population of just under 10 and half million. It never locked down at all.” … “Schools never closed.”

Of course it locked down. Its major industries ceased production for a period and upper secondary schools were forced into online learning from March 18th 2020 until well into June.

Sweden's Universities also imposed quite stringent Covid restrictions:

“Cases of Covid-19 infection are spreading quickly through the Stockholm region. Last week, approximately 42,000 people were tested for Covid-19 and of these, as many as 20.3 per cent were infected, according to Stockholm’s health authority.

Sweden’s national Public Health Authority has responded by placing 13 of the country’s 21 administrative regions under localised restrictions. As a result, most of the country’s universities have told students and staff to work from home if possible, and to avoid any gatherings with people with whom they do not normally associate.
Umeå University released a statement saying that “internal and external meetings, internships, conferences, seminars, and visits must be carried out digitally, or alternatively postponed or cancelled”. The Karolinska Institute, recommends that students and staff “should work from home and cancel business trips except in absolute exceptional cases”.”

Acting as Sweden had done would now see 40,000 Australians dead.

Sweden has fared the worst economically of the Scandinavian countries.

Don't agree with the article.

Sure stats are showing rates of death are low, but govts had no choice but to take measures to avoid many more dying at start when little was known.

I also think how virus was addressed improved over time.

Here is the big lie.

Vaccines are not vaccines.

The supposed covid vaccine jabs don't eliminate covid ... as vaccines have always done.

They only lessen the impact of the covid symptoms, something that most often happens naturally anyway. On most people that is the only outcome and on a few those 'vaccinated' can suffer horrendously.

So much for the actual science.

My experience. I had covid very early on. I had sore head, runny nose and felt unwell for a few days. I social distanced, sat on may boat when not working in my businesses.

Nobody around me had any symptoms.

I now have immunity ... something the vaccinated won't get.

And I'm told I need a vaccine!

Yeah sure. I'm 68 and I watch all the idiots and have concluded, Covid, and the Covid Nazis, well simply, what giant loads of bs!

And here is something very few people know.

After just over 12 months, one morning when out at breakfast with mates, I suffered extensive memory loss. It lasted about half a day. As I settled into my usual routine and with my mates support I had completely recovered all memory within about 10 hours.

Overseas reports told me this is one of the suspected longer term impacts of covid. I don't know whether it will recur.

I watch for research ... daily.

As crime goes with politicians, strokes go with COVID.

A blood coagulating disease. The body’s immune defence reacts to the virus by coagulating the blood as it does in a bleed, only on a massive scale.

Those small blood clots course the body’s blood stream and block vital functions in organs such as lungs which congest with tiny blood clots.

Your memory loss was associated with small blood clots entering the brain capillaries and causing a mild stroke condition.

Best of luck.

So you are telling made those small blood clots were still in my body 12 months after I'd recovered from covid? Even though the whole of my blood had probably been replaced at least once during the 12 months.

Really?

I'd like to see and check the science. Can you refer me to the studies and peer reviewed papers, please?

Ok..if I’m wrong, why are you right?

What explanation do you have for the phenomena you are at a loss to explain.

It is possible the body response continues into a distant future, reactive and defensive on a new level.
Maybe the body continues to produce blood clots post COVID.

Liken the body response to Asthma for example.

COVID is insidious. It’s full extent is unknown and mysterious.

Dan.

With all the positive cases in NSW and VIC, how are the cases being treated? In hospital? What is the treatment? I realise cases are not deaths. I do wish the ages of the fatalities were published, e.g. over 70, was post mortem performed.

See Diver.

you like all good fascists claim things I neither said nor in any way indicated.

I only asked to see the evidence supporting your explanation..

You then attacked me.

That's what the fascists in the 1930's did to those who didn't fall for the 'conventional line'.

Because I question you, you denigrate me. Now tell me now long will it be before you want to isolate me and then to eliminate me?
