There is a verse in the Koran that says if a land has once been
occupied by moslems, it remains forever moslem land. In other words all that land that was once Israeli and also Mesopotamia that were invaded by Arab Islamists in the 8th century must now be acknowledged to be Islamic forever. The majority of the Jews were expelled by the Romans but some did remain and many returned at various times. So it is a bit rough to call the Jews occupiers. "the inescapable need to find a peaceful solution to the conflict"
Why inescapable? Before delving into the fine details of one potential solution, could the author please explain why in their view a solution is needed to begin with, or otherwise why and for whom it should be desirable? I wish the author Chatimah Tovah. Posted by Yuyutsu, Wednesday, 15 September 2021 4:47:47 PM

I was wondering if the person writing this was high.
The reason Trump cancelled the aid was because that Hamas and others completely ignored any conditions attached to the aid and used it to either enrich themselves or spend it on weapons etc. Posted by shadowminister, Thursday, 16 September 2021 2:30:59 PM

Iran's looming nuclear threat...
http://www.timesofisrael.com/iran-could-have-enough-enriched-uranium-for-a-nuke-in-a-month-report/ Which one is that? Even if Iran had enough enriched uranium for a nuke, what would it do with it? Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons and the US has thousands. What is Iran going to do with just one? Put it in a museum? Drive it down the street in a parade? This is all just lies meant to justify Israel attacking Iran instead. And the US itself backed out of the JCPOA and reimposed sanctions, so Iran had no obligation to keep enrichment at levels agreed to under that JCPOA. We're supposed to buckle at the knees with the Israeli narrative, when they themselves probably got Trump to back out of the deal and reimpose the sanctions. AC,
The problem is that Iran unlike Israel is far more likely to attempt a first strike. The consequential retaliation from Israel would be devastating. Secondly producing one bomb would mean that No2,3 etc are not far behind. Posted by shadowminister, Friday, 17 September 2021 3:29:34 AM

"The problem is that Iran unlike Israel is far more likely to attempt a first strike."
I don't really think that's relevant, if it is then why did US back out of the JCPOA. Have any of you read it? I have. THE DEAL - Was no more sanctions against Iran if Iran kept it is uranium enrichment to an agreed level. Iran was keeping to that deal. The US quit the deal and reimposed sanctions. Therefore Iran has no obligation to keep uranium enrichment at the agreed level. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS? \ HAVE YOU READ THE JCPOA? Did the US do that to force Iran back to enrichment? More than likely To allow Israel to paint a narrative of Iran exceeding those levels of enrichment? More than likely. So they get to sanction them and Israel can act the aggressor, claiming it's defending itself. More than likely THERE IS NO DEAL against IRANS ENRICHMENT. THE US backed out of that deal END OF STORY. And Israel, is not a party to ANY atomic treaties. I bet NO inspections have ever been done at Dimona. The US should've kept to the deal, but instead it wanted to impose collective punishment upon the whole country. What do you think the sanctions do? It can't have its cakes and eat them too. Israel is paranoid to the point it's dangerous. Like when they said Saddam was doing the same thing. They flew in dropped bombs on a nuclear power plant and what do you know? It was just a nuclear power plant. If Iran wants nuclear power who are others to say they can't? Posted by Armchair Critic, Friday, 17 September 2021 6:15:39 AM

There have been reports that Iran denied IAEC inspectors access.
Aside from that remember the Koran says a moslem that dies in support of Allah is immediately in Paradise, so any Iranians killed in an Israeli first or second strike will be in Paradise. So they will have the ultimate reward. No need to worry about nuclear retaliation. That is the real worry, no disincentive. Posted by Bazz, Friday, 17 September 2021 12:09:46 PM

AC,
The JCPOA was a bad deal. The allies had little to no opportunities for inspection without advanced warning and JCPOA severely limited the actions that the allies could take against Iran for its criminal actions such as the missile attacks on Saudi etc. If Iran gets nuclear weapons, there is a real chance that there will be a multi-nation nuclear exchange which will destroy much of the middle east. Does Arafat ring a bell?
A: obviously not!
Biden would be better advised to do what he does best, open womens toilets to queers and cross dressers, with an addition of destroying the morale of the military by the same actions. And it’s no mute point to raise the subject of his persecution of religious minorities at home, with his mandating unacceptable immoral laws in support of his version of equality.
One obvious reality exposes itself when push comes to shove, Biden is a runner!
The Empire of the US is dying at a breathtaking speed at the hands of a dolt.
Israel will now no doubt, be fully focused on the influences in the ME, of the rising Empire of China.
A difficult road lies ahead, extracting itself from the death throws of a dying Empire, which it could never trust anyway.
“Things are bad, but they could be worse”, fits.
