The disabled amongst us must be concerned as to who will decide when their quality of life is unsuitable to continued existence. I have rarely agreed with the late Pope John Paul II, however his words are precisely what we need to consider in this area.

It seems to me that food and water ought to be considered basic human rights in our society. It is a completely different matter to consider euthanasia proper. Denying nutrients is just euthanasia without having the guts to call it what it really is.
