Just because people want to leave their homes to live elsewhere doesn't mean they should be allowed to. Governments of targeted countries like Australia have a duty to block them. The African continent is a hopeless case, and it's people not suited to the West. The West is in the process of horrific change as it is without adding them to our problems.
If Australian politicians can prevent our own people from coming home during the China virus, they can certainly keep out useless, Third World people who have nothing in common with us, and who have proved that they are a burden, often dangerous to our society, when they have been allowed here legally. "get him to build a nice big wall"
A big beautiful wall. Get your terminology right! Of course, more blacks travelling through Lybia in search of a better life will be good for the slave traders.... http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-42492687 Thank Obama/Hilary for that little bit of old south. But not unexpected - after all the Democrats were the party of slavery way back when. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 3 March 2021 4:08:24 PM

It's funny how the African blacks once demanded freedom from white rule, and now they all want to flee their black ruled countries and go and live with the white guys.

LEGO,
A long time ago someone referred to the creation of post-WW2 African nation-states as the White Man's Burden. And it now looks like the chickens have come home to roost. Posted by Mr Opinion, Thursday, 4 March 2021 6:18:58 AM

LEGO,
It has been said by some Zimbabweans (Rhodesians) that the only thing worse than being ruled by the British is not being ruled by the British. Posted by mhaze, Thursday, 4 March 2021 8:53:44 AM

Disagree with the analysis and conclusions as too much focus upon population (growth) and fertility that is not evidenced by recent research, and too little on political, economic mismanagement and small middle class elites.
Bricker & Ibbotson and others have actively researched various nations' fertility (related to population in 'Empty Planet') and regarding sub-Saharan Africa, fertility is actually/forecast to be declining due to improved education, health and empowerment of women. A decade ago Oxford Martin School's Ian Goldin stated that with ageing and declining populations (already happening in Europe, in Oz our permanent population is treading water ex. modest immigration), African human resources swill play part of the solution through migration. This is for employment and paying taxes, hence, western nations will be in competition trying to build relationships and encourage immigration; not shut themselves off from the world. geographically, ethnoculturally the area of Africa lying south of the Sahara. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sub-Saharan_Africa
Ways around include plane rides to Indonesia, then short leaky boat rides to Australia.
Tourist, student and other visis can turn into a disapperance act in Australia. Sub-Saharan Africans (SSAs) illegals May fair well as cash-in-hand off the books workers.
White South Africans (theoretically being SSA's) May be much preferred by some in authority http://theconversation.com/peter-duttons-fast-track-for-white-south-african-farmers-is-a-throwback-to-a-long-racist-history-93476
White South Africans (escaping black South Africa's racism, corruption and failing economy)
being a good ethno-cultural, often mining and farming, fit in Australia.
