What the hell happened? : Comments

How could 70 million of them vote for Donald Trump when he was clearly totally unfit for office. What happened?

The Joe Blow of the US public liked Trump because he was irreverent
he was undiplomatic and spoke it as it is.
He was not a smartie in a perfect suit who spoke with an upmarket
accent, in other words a rich version of themselves.
He talked of helping the out of work fly over people.
It seems he meant it.
Because of that they didn't care about the BS and lies that he put out.
They could tell the difference between the conventional politicians BS
and Trumps meandering nonsense that he put out from time to time.
It seems they liked him for it as it annoyed the pollies.

If I was to advise the US what is needed I would adopt Hilary Clinton's
suggestion to copy the Australian health system.

It seems to me that all or most anti-Trump people were fooled by the biased and venomous anti-Trump rhetoric which flooded all the main stream media by the very biased and most untrustworthy Main stream media which has lost thousands/millions of subscribers.

It's called mob psychology and Trump was a master at using it!

He could like any gifted conman, read a room, play to peoples' prejudices.

Used his Twitter account to great effect in a much bigger room!

Understood his target audience, white supremacists and redundant blue-collar workers like no other?

Told lies so big? Folk couldn't believe they were just BS!

And left a nation divided and at war with themselves! So divided that their external enemies laugh, clap and jeer! And pour fuel on that fire whenever ad wherever possible!

Democracy prevailed, barely! And the road back to civil normalcy is a very long and hard road! Need to be travelled/led by folk with vision and bold nation-building ideas! Just don't hold your breath!

Same old, same old BS won't do anything but compound existing problems and division!

Come off it Tarquin.

They had 4 years to see what a useless bit of rubbish Obama was, & still reelected him.

Or did they.

Perhaps the Democrats already had control of the counting system, & that is what reelected Obama, just as it has, after some reinforcing, elected Biden.

Hasbeen,

I loved that: " .... or did they ? ...... '

Well, yes. Evidence otherwise ?

Yes, yes, I realise that cunning bastards know exactly how to eliminate all traces of their evil-doing, and that only the most extremely intelligent, such as yourself, can see through the lies.

So the evidence of absence could well mean no more than 'the absence of [clear] evidence', that it's all been neatly covered up ?

Cunning bastards !

Just by the way, eighty million is bigger than seventy five million. 80 > 75.That's how democracy works: the more votes, the more legitimation of a particular candidate.

Yes, I think that democracy could be tweaked a little, to bring in some representation of the defeated party, a bit like the three athletes up on the dais at the Olympic Games - first, second, third - that, say, the head of the losing party can be given a role in relation to government, perhaps as 'Senior Advisor' - no voting rights, but a right to 'advise'.

Well Loudmouth, why were some of the on site computers connected to the internet ?
There are sworn affidavits to that affect.
Never mind too late now to worry about it.
They worked first for Charvos in Venezuela then who knows perhaps
for Obama then Biden, we will never know because no one looked.
