An excellent exposition of the foolishness of the current fad. One must question the wisdom of our Simple-Simon-Says style of government directives to do things that are often done only to be seen to be doing something. For millennia, plagues have been survived by quarantining only the unfortunate victims and their carers, leaving healthy people to develop immunities, cures and provide sustenance for everybody. Now we quarantine both sick AND healthy. Masks impede the inflow of oxygen and expulsion of carbon dioxide for a healthy body to function efficiently. Surely they should only be used where and when they are of benefit. How much longer must this mask-erade continue?

They use, then dispose of paper tissues! However, if you must use infected hankies, don't share and boil between uses!

Other than that, use a disposable surgical mask, or serval cloth ones you can launder between uses. And on no account share! If laundering is for some reason not sufficient? Soak overnight in 50% beach 50% water.

Masks prevent aerosols, the mist you see on your breath on cold and frosty mornings, from infecting others. The purpose of a mask!

And if it's not covering the nose? Worse than useless!

Being filled with dread at the idea of wearing a medical mask strongly suggests a medical mental problem with the author, rather than a problem with a surgical mask! This is the sort of vexatious frivolous anti-mask BS Trump used until he fell sick himself!
