Adam, good policies will include a new deal, cooperative capitalism and new energy. Like MSR thorium and industrial power that costs a little as 1 cent PKWH to make. If you allow regional co-ops to own and operate same, you deal corporate America out of the energy business.

if you do likewise with all the other utilities the cost of doing business and making stuff at home will be lower than doing it in China!

Other than that, the outlawing of middlemen, profit demanding paper shufflers, will halve the cost of doing business and the cost of living.

Tax reform that is an unavoidable flat tax of 15% that every boy and his dog pay above a generous threshold, will do two things, end creative accounting and lower the tax component of doing business, plus actually collect more revenue. And with the former tax compliance costs no longer in play, the effective adjusted tax rate would be 8%!

Tax lawyers etc will scream forever about the end of this parasitic gravy train being removed. But hey, nobody is owed a living or endless free lunches.

Halving the cost of doing business and or, living! Will be a greater stimulus for the economy than anything else you could do!
